It's a lovely day for our Maypole Pole Dance Display Garden Party,if you ignore the fact that it's raining.
kerri hasn't had a wink of sleep,as she's been slaving over a hot oven, waiting for that second rise...
Sure you'll be alright to help with choreography later kerri?Go on now,go and have a nap,I'll watch the buns.
Meanwhile Hubert is having a mini breakdown. He's spent all night in curlers that took 2 hours to put in,and is sobbing that the rain will ruin it all.His frock looks great (thanks Knit Witch),but he's in a right tizzy as he also has 4 left hooves, and can't dance for toffee.Typically he doesn't want to let the side down.
Swedish Chef and Igor have been in discussion with local wide boy Bert Scroggins to shoot the video for "# My Lovely Horse #" ,a discussion which has involved copious pints of Ye Olde Fartinge Bishope,so we can't expect too much from them today.
Never fear, in a cunning solution solution I choreographed a routine that required him to only use his left hooves (yes all 4 of them)though Ive barely had a wink of sleep, baking 786 cream buns at such short notice was no mean feat.
NSD 2 today
Yay - even resisted a spend on the tinterwebs.
OH has gone out and got stuck between bikes on the tour de yorkshire. I think I need the Mrs Doyle smugness look as I told him not too...
Listed another two things on ebay but need to list more, have a great afternoon everyone.
EM xx
Whoops, but at least you get to enjoy the peace and quiet
Just back from garden centre with OH, stopped in the farm shop and £12 later he has som veggie bits and I have a very nice looking, but rather expensive steak and guinness pie. Thank goodness I have whoopsie veg to go with it. :money:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Emergency Fund: £350/£10000 -
I know it's already 3rd May but can I join in please?
I'll aim for 10. I'll be ignoring direct debits from the bank, and paying out for things that I can claim back on expenses from work. For me this will motivate me to always take lunch to work, and to carry a water bottle so I don't succumb to buying drinks.
I reckon Tuesday to Thursday this week should be possible, especially if I get organised with planning meals so don't end up with any last minute trips to the supermarket!Declutter our home in 2024
Lose weight in 20240 -
Goodness, what an afternoon of merriment and laughs.
Swedish Chef fell into the nettle bed again (still looking for his rubber ducky apparently),Igor kept us all amused with some wanton knee flashing,Nargle was swanning around like she owns the place, all swish and edgy in her designer Spongebob diamante and fake ocelot fur wellies - oh,wait a minute, she does own the place...
scotmum has eaten her own weight in Marathon bars (now called Snickers) because someone dared her,and has had to lie down,Knit Witch has had a few glasses of smoked salmon aquavit too many and is regaling us with some colourful ie dirty jokes,Elliesmum is doing a grand impression of Mrs Doyle. It's all getting a bit raucous tbh.
kerri gt ended up partnering Hubert in the Maypole dance, but he got so excited that he 'made a puddle' and the Maypole dancing had to be abandoned.Goodness,he must have a bladder the size of an elephant.
Thankfully, kerri put on an impromptu pole dancing display, and, just when we thought that it couldn't get any more exciting,Mrs Doyle appeared with cake. Not any old cake.
I had two slices,and am feeling much better.0 -

If you're interested in taking in a packed lunch, you might want to have a look at this thread, which could give you pointers and encouragement.0 -
Right, Igor, put the maypole back in the shed till next year, and polish up the grand piano in the ballroom, people will want to start practising for Eurovision. We know you and Swedish Chef are doing a duet version of My Lovely Horse (in Swedish, Hurdy Gurdy Loobly Hoosie Bork!) , and Bert Scroggins is going to be shaving his chest, slapping on the fake tan and polishing up his medallion before squeezing into his purple lurex flares for his bouncy little number, Hot Plinky Plonk Love, and even Mrs Doyle has found a song with a very catchy chorus (all together now....Go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, go on, have a cup of tea, go on, go on!)
Don't forget to shampoo and de-flea my Spongebob ocelot fur wellies, a girl has got to look her best at a time like this! One life - your life - live it!0
