On clicking on the more information link, this is what greets me:

My firewall is again rejecting the forum.
The new version remains dire. Why are the numerous complaints being ignored?. . .I did not speak out
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me..

When I can no longer view the forum in the old way I shall not be looking at this forum again. As a user who has read daily for the past several years, the new look is dreadful. Hard to navigate all the white background. Time to hunt for a new forum to read!0

Actually, the new look is terrible on my Moto G running Android 5 Lollipop, it practically causes Chrome to lock up or be unstable.0

While I'm not particularly taken by the new look, it's probably partly a knee-jerk reaction to change. However, there are two things that I really dislike about the new format:
- It take too many clicks to get to the user control panel. At the moment I click "User CP" and immediately see if any of the threads I've subscribed to have unread messages. Now I have to click on my avator, to get a drop down then click on profile, then on view settings. *Grr*
- (And this is my biggest hate, and would probably be enough to stop me browsing regularly) I hate hate hate the automatic re-sizing according to the window size. I like to look at the forum using various screen sizes (PC, laptop, tablet and phone) and don't mind scrolling from side to side but hate that the sizes change - meaning if you have a small window you get a word or two of a message on a line, and the rest of the screen real estate used up by side banners. I know some forums have a user option to fix the width, can we at least have that please?

I'm the same. It's pretty much unuseable on an iPad and, I would imagine, on any tablet. They must think we all use desktops.0 -
Help, I've messed up.
I thought I'd have a nosy at the new forum just now to see if has improved (it hasn't imo) But I've gone back to the old green forum, and it seems to have gotten narrower. I now have 2 massive white borders on either side. I can't put it back to 'normal' IYSWIM.
Does anybody know how I can return it back to it's original state please.

Just want to register my dislike too. I can't stand the new look on my laptop - to the point I've logged in on my iPhone to reply to this thread. I'll soon get tired of that and will find somewhere else to hang out on the Internet.
This new look is too bright and hurts my eyes also. Black screen with white writing would be preferable.0 -
dontone,
I've got the same problem (squashed to one side/white banners) and I've already emailed the MSE team about it. The reply wasn't much help, just giving the link to switch back to the old forum, which is what I'd already done.
If you find a solution, please let me know! I have a feeling it's stuck like that and they aren't interested in the old design forum anymore.0 -

Will do. Can't believe 2 clicks has messed it up. The forum is far too narrow now after returning it back to green. It's like I'm wasting half my monitor size. It's horrible.
I wish the powers that be would just leave things along. It's very annoying.BEST EVER WINS WON IN ORDER (so far) = Sony Camcorder, 32" lcd telly, micro ipod hifi, Ipod Nano, Playstation 3, Andrex Jackpup, Holiday to USA, nintendo wii, Liverpool vs Everton tickets, £250 Reward Your thirst, £500 Pepsi, p&o rotterdam trip, perfume hamper, Dr Who stamp set, steam cleaner.
