Sounds very promising.
I'm due to be connected tomorrow. I've taken speed tests on my existing connection today so that I have something to compare against tomorrow.
I'm keeping a record of my joining experience as well as what has happened day by day as part of the transfer on the following forum:

I was told from the offset They don't do emails..I am sticking with my old provider TalkTalk as they they you keep the email address for as long as you want.0

My speed test as of now is: 65.59 mbps download and 18.79 upload.
But I must stress this is with the wife connected on Ipad down stairs, This computer is wireless, and I have an Asustor AS5104 nas center connected, So I'm VERY happy with the results!0 -

Darren, If they have said an engineer is coming, AND you've had fibre installed previously, Then just check to see if he's ACTUALLY going to turn up, as I wasted a morning TBH.0

Yes, I've already got fibre so an engineer isn't required. Although they did text me this morning saying an engineer is due tomorrow (which I know isn't needed). Must be an automated message they send out. They need to do something about it - it is a shame for those who end up wasting time waiting for an engineer that is never going to come.0 -

It's the customer service staff that need to be made aware really, as I questioned the need for an engineer when I signed up for the deal.
She assured me the need was real (to check master box) and failure to be in at the appointed time would cost £108.00 to re-book.
Hence I stayed in for nothing.
If anyone is in the same situation as myself then take heed and check with SSE.
The staff by the way are very helpfull:j0 -

Thanks - that's useful. All feedback (good or bad) would benefit this thread enormously. MSE is considerably less rabid than HUKD.0 -

Can you explain what you mean here, as it doesn't sound like a reason to stay with a provider.
I'd it that sse don't provide you with an @sse email address and you currently have a @talktalk address, as if this is the case you could just continue using the talk talk one if they let you keep it, or just setup a Gmail one which includes loads of other free stuff?0 -

I had so many problems with Talktalk email. Thankfully I only used it once a month to read my billing statement but even then I had numerous outages with it.
Now is a good time to switch to something like Gmail and never again be restricted to your providers email system.0
