3 hours to download a 1gb file would suggest its correct ?0 -
Yes, The BT tester is normally one of the better ones.0

Its ok at the moment, but seems to crawl from 9pm to midnght
This is me just now, will post some more later i saw it somewhere that Daisy let traffic to speed testers through ok , speed test last night was about 40mbs , but downloading a 30 min episode of Emmerdale on the Sky box that was just over 1gb took about 70 mins , when we was on BT it was about 10 mins and that was standard fibre, im meant to be ultrafast0 -
Just now, seems ok
1gb test file taken from here took 4 mins

Was due to be connected on Tues 8th June - the village I live in has just got FTTC.
On the friday before, I received a text to phone SSE - apparently my ISP had refused the switch and would I like to re-order.
Contacted my current ISP who told me no migration request had been made.
Back to SSE - who now told me there was already a cease on the line and that's why they couldn't take it over. I pointed out that 'cease and re-provide' only applies to cable connections and this wasn't. I was then told that I wasn't listening and would I like to re-order. We are now in limbo
What I would really like to do is stay with my current ISP with whom I have no problems but are nearly twice the price - but it may be a price worth paying.0 -
does anyone know what is the network ip address of the router?0

is there a website where you can check charges since last bill to check say phone calls not included in package?0

Ok so all is NOT rosy with SSE and ANYONE thinking of a change should read this.
My speed check by ookla is just fine approx 50 Mbps. Lower than advertised but ok.
BUT here the thing, PEER TO PEER is 4KBPS??!!!!! It will take weeks for me to download a movie if I desire.
SSE have said 'wait 10 days' for what? when I first signed up I was getting 6-8 Mbps now it's 4Kbps.
Also I rang SSE, it took 30 mins to get through.
Shocking performance, it also doesn't matter what time I DL, the spped is constant 4KBPS.0
