Hi,
I think if you are not making a profit of more than 300 a month from renting the room out you don't claim this as income, not 100% sure on this its something I read before.0 -
Hi, im wondering if someone could help me. Last week on my usual payment day I received a larger payment than usual and a smaller payment, I haven't received my renewal pack yet so thought I best phone to find out why, when I did I was told that they had already received my husbands P60 and updated them onto the system and that was why our payments have increased and the one off payment, but he couldn't tell me anything about last years claim, will I still need to contact them when the letter comes through, or is it all done now?
My husband earned a bit less last year than the year before, but part way through the year I had to give them an estimate as he had changed jobs, I estimated for more but he actually earned less, so I understand this years payments going up but what does it mean for last years award?
2013-14 earnings were £17887
2014-15 estimated at 20000 because he changed job, then he went back to previous job and I had to estimate again so I estimated at 18000
Actual earnings were 16200.
Any help would be great.

You will still need to renew when pack comes yes.
THe payment was when your pack was generated I too had one, then had to renew online.
Im still waiting im one of the cases that's gone to compliance for checks, I was told 10 week for mine to be processed.0 -
Thanks.
Regarding renewing online, I understand you have to go through a credit agency to complete the registering part, I'm currently part way through a DMP so payments and balances are a bit complicated atm as I don't get balances every month, do you think I would still be able to complete registration?0 -
For those who have have done their renewal what has been the timescale from renewing to receiving your new award ?
I have never waited over a week other years for it to be processed but maybe I have been lucky.
Im in no hurry but it's nice to know what the payments are going to be for the year ahead.0 -
I too have never waited too long between renewal and receiving an award notice. I renewed by phone around the 20th April and have yet to receive any notification or different payments . I have not received any paperwork regarding extra checks and have been informed that the usual timescale is. Approx 10 weeks, although this does feel quite a long timescale for a straight forward renewal.0

From experience the two times ive been told ten weeks to check my renewal are both times ive been checked and investigated.
The first time by compliance the second time by Concentrix.0 -
I've got a red line too and am now worried sick. I know I have nothing to fear but I suffer from severe mental health issues and read about the red line, now I'm in bits. Im a single mum, 2 children, I receive DLA and I work. This is all too much, is it definate that if you have a red line you will be investigated. I wouldnt be able to cope, it will all be too much and if I lose my tax credits I will be ****ered. I get no help from childrens father, I am on national minimum wage. I cant do any more work, my mental health doesnt allow it. It would be the end for me I'm afraid.0

I don't think they stop payments as long as people respond in the time frame. But the letter states they can reduce payments to what they believe I am entitled.
I am given to 6th June to respond.
I have sent all my documents special delivery today £7.95 for next day guaranteed.
Im not risking it considering the letter was dates 20 th April and only arrived end of last week!
I shall ring them in a few days and will keep ringing them till it is sorted.0
