decided to ring tax credits as seems a lot of people on here are getting further checks and i hadn't received any paperwork at all.
good job i did as apparently a letter was sent out to me at the end of April requesting further information. it appears its to do with 17 year old in 6th form, they requested this information 2 years ago when they started 6th form.
unfortunately it may be difficult to get this information as they go on exam leave tomorrow. i will contact school and see i they cann email me some proof.0 -
This is the first year that I am an auto renewal.
I didn't think they did that if you work and had childcare.
I suppose it's down to realtime info and I did have a childcare compliance back in November 2014, so they have my childcare figures.
Lets hope its as easy as this every year!Mortgage Feb 2015 £178,500 END 2043!!
MFW 2015 £100 /£1000
Watch this space, my MF end date will tumble!!0 -

After reading that a lot of people are being asked about further education checks I filled in a online form on my sons college website asking for the last two years info.

Don't blame you Frester i would also ring tax credit and see if you have been sent a letter that you haven't yet received . I have had no letter and had I waited I wouldn't have known.
They did request this information when my 17 year old started 6th form , I have emailed head of 6th form for proof of attendance hoping that she can give me this as they go on exam leave tomorrow and have been given the number to ring but its only open between 8 and 4 so hoping I can get through tomorrow.0 -
Georgiasdragons,
Did you do your renewal through the normal TC line or through concentrix?
My childcare monthly amount hasn't changed however the nursery has. I didn't inform them as I genuinely just forgot. My son is disabled and i changed his nursery due to his needs not being met at the previous nursery. I actually had an overlap of fees as I lost my 2 weeks in advance from the previous as I changed over within 1 week. I'd laid 2 months at the previous nursery and he hadn't attended either. I've told concentrix and also sent an invoice with amounts paid etc.
One thing that is bizarre is when I called to update, the chap said are my fees still £147 per week..... I was a bit gobsmacked as his few have never been that much and on my renewal lack it doesn't state 147, it says 93. Even if he did extra days at nursery it would never amount to that. I corrected him and said they have never been that amount. I only work 16-24 hours as I'm self employed and most of my work is over 2 days, however I pay for 2.5 days in case I need the extra half day.
Luckily I've not had my new award yet as I would have been over paid. My renewal is going through, there is no issue with it they said but I'm still confused.
I am owed some money from them as I made a loss last year, mostly because of the amount of time I lost due to my son being in and out of hospital.
I told the chap to just call the nursery himself to save time but he said it wasn't flagged up it's just a random check.
I'd love to speak to someone on here who works at the TC office to set us straight once and for all.
Are they allowed to take 25% from you! I saw someone had been deducted 10%.
My son gets the highest rate disability component, I think if your child is disabled, they can't recoup it at that rate. Pretty sure I saw this somewhere. Also if you are SE, you can discuss repayment to suit your income if it's not stable ( such as the first years business etc).
Has anyone had their renewal finalised yet?

Do they want proof for just one year or the last two ?
I only renewed Wednesday last week but it makes me wonder if everyone is being checked who has children in college.
Did they give you the address to send the info to because you didn't get the letter ?0 -
I rang concentrix today they R behind 5 days. So only just scanning paperwork received 16th may. I have to ring next Thursday. I told them I renewed 27th April he wouldn't tell me anything other than when I asked if my payments stop 6th June he said if paper work not received !! I .t was signed for yesterday recorded Delivery but as they behind he can't see it'
Last time I had compliance check i still renewed in April but it was not finalised until July when my compliance check was finished so I am asuming this will be the same cause tax credit and concentrix seem very cagey like they are trained not to tell you anything0 -
In reply to Frester
Im not sure how long they are asking for as I haven't got paperwork. The person I spoke to at tax credit was very vague and just said it was regarding further education and to ring the number he gave me. I will ring them in morning and hopefully they will answer as its holding up my renewal.0 -
My letter was dated 20th April and arrived last Wednesday so took 3-4 weeks in the post0
