Anyway own having issues with trying to verifying them selfs on the Direct Gov website. I thought I'd be proactive with getting myself set so I can make changes and verify myself via experian as they only want passport but when I get to the. Verification process it wants a driving licence too. Anyone got issues too0

I did look to see what this verification was about and I assumed you would need one or the other. But I am going to renew over the phone as I believe it to be the quickest and safest option!
Does that mean everyone can renew online this year ? I was told over phone my Claim had to be renewed by post or phone as it had r r after it0 -
It does say one or the other that's why I'm confused as it asks for the both. I've not had my renewal yet I'm hoping it won't be long as we have been same time every year. I was going to set it up as when I read up on it it says you can use it to make changes not just renewals so little disappointed .georgiasdragons0

My renewal pack was waiting for me when I arrived home from work today and it was an online renewal.
I chose to do it online but you can still do it by phone or post.
The process of registering fir the identity security check was quite long winded and it asked if you had a valid passport, valid driving license and access to your bank/financial details. My passport has expired so clicked driving license only and financial details and it said I could only use the Experian options as I didn't have a passport.
The questions about my financial history were relevant to me and easy enough to answer, I then received a text message verification code and email activation. Once I did those it redirected me back to the renewal page which was very straight forward.
I'm hoping it will be online renewal every year if that's the whole process. I'm expecting there to be an issue though as I Gift Aided and once I deducted what I should (I followed the accompanying notes to calculate the deduction) my income is obviously different compared to the RTI figure.
It then said renewal should take 8 weeks. I didn't receive any extra payments before I received my renewal pack but my usual payment is on a Friday so I'm assuming it was too close to payment date or my payments are already correct.0 -
Hi guys
My renewal arrived yesterday and I was able to renew online.
First time I failed the Experian check as it asked me to confirm my mobile phone account number but I have two as one is for my daughter! I used my passport for verification and it asked me to confirm some details about my bank account and my catalogue.
But passed second time I tried so the Experian verification was long winded but the renewal was straight forward.
All I had to do was confirm no changes and confirm the salary which actually matches my form that came in post.
It said I will hear in 8 weeks, last year was auto renewal and the year before it took about 16 weeks due to compliance so we shall see this year!
Will update further when I get award notice but will note in my diary to ring in 8 weeks if not heard.0 -
Hi, wondered if someone could advise me on something please?
OH bought his P60 home from work today and his company told him that they have paid him £500 too much and they will take it out of his next 4 months pay. Do I need to tell Tax Credits this when I get my renewal? Last year it was auto renewal not sure about this year as not had anything through yet.
Also do I need to tell tax credits if he has changed company (he works at the same place he has done for 18 years just this January part of the company was outsourced to another company and this is the company that now pay him). His job is exactly the same. Hope that makes sense.
Thanks in advance.
