3 weeks after accepting the offer on the flat I am still waiting for the sale to be finalised. It appears the purchaser is still waiting for a mortgage offer, I am starting to get a little uneasy now especially given it's only 3 weeks to settlement date now.

4 weeks on the market in an area where there is high demand for houses due to upcoming changes in the area.

Saying that, I've had 3 viewings (no offers yet!)

An open day of which 2 people turned up, despite the EA saying that they had quite a few people booked in, since found out this was a big fat lie!!

First time selling a house, and finding it all a big learning curve.

I'm hoping that I get something more positive from todays viewing, and maybe an offer at least.
From the people that have viewed it so far, they all love the house.
Then I find out that they need to sell their houses first!!

I was hoping to get a quick sale due to demand and that my house is not in a chain.

Here's my property listing on rightmove - http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-52600757.html?premiumA=true

Well after 15 loooong weeks on the market, we finally had an offer made on our house today! The 17th viewer loved it so much, she negotiated with my husband there and then. He got her to up her offer by £2.5k and she is going to ring our estate agent first thing on Monday to make it official. Extra bonus is that she's sold subject to contract and will be moving in with her friend in the next few weeks, so chain free!

Months and months of sprucing everything up and cleaning and getting our hopes up (and being stood up!), it finally feels all worth it!

Although I know we're far from done and dusted yet, and there are plenty of potential pitfalls ahead, there at last seems like there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Don't give up hope the rest of you! It will happen eventually :)

    Can i join?

Been on the market 5 weeks and not had any viewings. Had 4 viewings booked but they've all cancelled for one reason or another. We dropped the price 5k after a month of no bookings, as we felt it was priced too high.

Not very happy with the EA, think i've had one update for call since we put it on the market and that only came after i rang them rather than the other way round. Is this normal? Finding it all rather frustrating.

I spoke to my solicitor last week who said they had recieved draft paperwork for the sale from the buyers side but they were still waiting on the mortgage approval. This will be 4 weeks on Wednesday since I accepted the offer.

Not sure how long mortgages are taking to approve hopefully we will get this concluded this week. For the sake of my nerves!!

    Hello to you all,
Based iStaffordshire with a large 4 bed which has been up for sale since March, offers accepted then both fell through. I have decided if the house doesn't sell by July the going to then will go to auction in September ( Bigwoods) as I'm exhausted with it all.
Well done to those who have sold in this climate.

Hi, great thread. Been on the market 5 days, had a cash buyer make a very good offer, thought it was too good to be true, they pulled out for reasons unknown.

Went back on the market last Monday, had 2 viewings since then. Trying to to get too depressed about it as it's early days.
