    Hi Can I join? :)
We've been on the market just over 2 weeks and had a viewing booked but they cancelled due to illness and haven't rescheduled. Waiting isn't my strong point but I have no choice!

    Hi to everyone

Another week has passed and still zilch going on regarding my house.

EA want to drop the price, I said NO, but will review this again soon.

If I have to keep dropping the price to get any interest, then it shows the EA over valued it to begin with.
Funnily they denied this, but instead claimed the market in my area has changed since I listed my house and there just isn't the buyers that there was before :rotfl:

Fingers crossed that I get a buyer soon and good luck to everyone else also in the same boat :)

Hi all, had my flat on the market for 2.5 weeks, had 1 request for a viewing but then cancelled due to the lease (66 years) I've now removed the remaining number of years from the advert, and added that we're in the process of extending to add an extra 90 years (thats not a lie! I've started the process this week!!)
I would have hoped for some more interest in it by now, and perhaps need to drop the price, but is it too soon?
Bearing in mind, I've paid for 6 months EA online fee, so really keen to ensure it sells in 6 months so I don't have to pay for more!!

I've been shocked that we haven't had a viewing after being on the market 3 weeks tomorrow. One booked and cancelled but nothing since. We're priced based on those that have sold in the area too and are only asking what they sold for, we haven't added to it. It's so frustrating as typically we've seen the house of our dreams (heard this so many times but it's true) and not a bite.

We don't have floor plans, do you think it's worth adding them on to the EA advert? We're on r1ghtm0ve and 0nthemark£t but the EA don't use Z00pla so not sure if that makes any difference either. They have sole selling rights for 20 weeks and only 3 weeks in, I'm wondering if I've made a mistake.

PS I am the most impatient person so this is extra tough for me!

My EA tried getting me to sign a 20 week contract, a few choice words later and it was reduced to 8 weeks.

I didn't fancy being locked in to a long contract with one EA, plus I said to them that if the house will sell as fast as you state it will, why the need for such a long contract?

There has been some other houses listed in my area in the last few days, all 3 bed like mine, but considerably cheaper!
Not feeling too positive atm that mine will get the interest when there is another 3 bed on the same estate for 40k less than mine:(

    Good luck everyone:beer:

Been on rightmove since Mid May selling through traditional estate agent, wondering whether it's time for a £5k price drop - had 9 viewings and 1 second viewing at the weekend but ended up buying a new build)..good to read everyones experiences though, found the whole process very slow and frustrating so far(also a challenge getting the 2 kids looked after at short notice and doing a manic clean every time!).

Well, the day after my 1st post on this forum and I've only got a viewing booked in for Sat! eeek.
Its our first one and I'm doing it on my own, so little bit nervous. My boyfriend will be up the road with our dog, as we have no one to dump him on at 9am in the morning
We tidied tonight, luckily its a small flat so doesn't take much work, but gosh, black tiles in a bathroom, NEVER AGAIN! They're the worst part!

I can only expect they're looking for their daughter, as man wife and daughter are coming, and its deffo not a flat for 3 people. I just hope they fall in love with it as much as I did when I looked around 5 years ago.

And I've also got the little issue about the lease to go through with them......... :(

  • I couldn't resist a snoop - like your house. can't help but notice it;s all empty. That doesn't show it off to it's full potential. I can't comment on price at all as I don't know the area. All the best

    Thanks DebtFree2012
In relation to your comment about the online housing search engines, from the stats I can see on my advert page viewings, there have been more visits on z00pla than R1ghtm0ve. 300 more. However, personally, I never used Z until mine went on the market, and I don't like to use it as much as RM

Also, I don't have a floor plan (its a tiny flat) but I do find them quite handy to use for looking at houses. However, if a house I liked the look of didn't include a floor plan on the advert, I would deffo still go view it!

I wonder what everyone elses thoughts are on floorplans??
