I was so pleased to get an offer on my Dad's flat yesterday, my joy lasted 24 hours as I recieved a call earlier from the solicitor telling me the buyer couldn't get a large enough mortgage so has to pull out.

Serves me right for getting too happy last night.

Hi all,

I've had my 3 Bedroom Flat on the market since June last year! We've had about 5 views on the property simply because the Estate Agents in the area are only interested in having me on their books for their statistic purposes only, they can't be bothered to actually sell my property so I'm trying to do it myself.

The flat is located in Great Barr, Birmingham. It's on the Middle floor, has 3 Bedrooms (yes, 3 bedrooms), Bathroom, Kitchen, Lounge, Small Private Garden and Garage with plenty of off road parking too. I have lived here for 10 years and have completely redecorated the property over the years and I also replaced all windows a few years ago and I have the Fensa certificate available as proof.

The flat is 1 of 12 flats that are split into 4 sections of 3 flats (Ground/Middle/Top). My property has approx. 143 years on the lease and is up for offers in the region of £90,000.

Great Barr is a very nice are of Birmingham with excellent local schools, limited crime rates and an excellent local connection to the motorways system. M6 to the East, M5 to the West.

Is it the "offers over 87k" flat?

I'm sorry t say the pictures put me right off. It looks dark, small and what's with the coloured haze of the bathroom picture

If it's yours, get the agent back out to take proper, well lit photos

Thought we'd join in the fun! Our property went on rightmove yesterday. Fingers crossed the viewings will start soon.

N o surprise the feedback from the couple who viewed our flat "nice but slightly too small." I knew they'd think that.

Anyway, gone for our third price reduction today in 4 months, fingers crossed we get some interest.

Absolutely loved it??!! But I've heard that one before on three other viewings 😉 so we'll see. Driving my husband nuts going on about it so can post here and bore you all to death instead!

Just after my last post I showed someone round the flat and thought they weren't too impressed but I was quite surprised to rrecieve an offer at asking price the following day. The flat is now under offer, hopefully nothing can go wrong this time.

Well done Beamcounter 😄 just goes to show you can never tell what people are thinking? We are doing out own viewings as using an online agent and I can not read what on earth people are really thinking? Holding out to hear from our young couple yesterday....
