We have had no viewers at all yet and house has been up for sale since October.

DH has been undergoing radiotherapy and chemo over Autumn and in recovery since so we were quite glad that there was no interest.

DH passed away last Friday so DDs are going to arrange a house clearing and cleaning session and maybe an "Open house" once the funeral is over.

The plan was for us (me and DH and maybe a DD) to downsize to a bungalow which would be easier to manage and cheaper in terms of bills, council tax etc.

I have not seem anywhere I love yet so there is no great rush but it would be good to be settled in a new place before winter.

Unfortunately a lot of new build properties have just come on the market on the outskirts of the town which look comparable in terms of bedrooms and price and although our rooms are bigger as is garden etc it is not obvious without viewing.

Oh Elona I'm so sorry for your loss!

ARGH - cards on table.... only to find out that a house that's more or less identical to ours, but with additional conservatory (although I think only 1 parking space) has just been reduced and they want to see where they stand.... !!!!!!!

Oh Elona, am also really sorry to hear about your DH. It kind of puts everything we're whittling about into perspective somewhat.

That guy from last Wednesday who 'forgot' he'd got a viewing on our house, but then rearranged for a viewing on Friday night? Yeah, he never appeared on Friday night either. What can you do though?
Told the estate agent we're very definitely NOT interested in arranging any more viewings with him. They can't seem to get in touch with him at all anyway to find out what he's playing at.

Had a viewing at noon today though, a young FTBer couple with a baby. Again, seemed to really like it and asked lots of questions, but then so did the last seven viewers and nothing came of any of them so not really getting hopes up!

    How's everyone else getting on?

That's terrible that your viewer didn't turn up again, I'm keeping everything crossed that the young couple like your place enough to put in an offer.
It looks as if we might be putting in an offer on a house we've viewed a couple of times , it's a lot smaller than our current place but it has a lovely garden for the dogs and the grandbrats.

No further viewings this weekend and no further contact. I suspect our offer couple have viewed the other property. I suppose we shall find out tomorrow.... hopefully!
