Waiting For a Buyer! Anyone Want To Join Me?

Sounds like cheeky offers are quite common then. I guess it makese sense for ftb to try and save as much money as they can.
We are more then happy to play the waiting game, we are in no rush at the moment, the new build we want to purchase isn't being released for a while yet. So we have breathing space, plus we go on holiday end of June for 2 weeks so don't want to be having to move just before or right after that would be a tad stressful!0 -
I think the idea is to set a base line at a lower point, then anything on top of that is seen as good if that makes sense? Rather than starting with a more realistic initial offer for that to be rejected to then be forced into offering slightly higher than they would if they started lower? Make sense?
Difficult to know where to start, but the offer made was quite close to another on the street SSTC recently (repo, offer displayed on advert), but was much more run down and needed more work so sensible place to start.0 -
Had a viewing today. Up at five cleaning!0

Toddler9 your house is lovely. Great job on the declutter.
If I was being super picky, the washing line is a bit distracting and can you bung some plants in the bed near the garden table?0 -
No counter offer yet... Dragging it out... great! lol0

I'm getting sent Zoopla / RM / OTM links by my GF everyday via skype - Would like to return the favour!
What are you looking for? We live about 10mins from J28 in a new build, smallish development in a village, it's lovely & they're about to launch phase 2, 40 more houses...0 -
Same here, don't think we will hear anything until the end of the week at least, as that is when they probably will figure more viewers will come in.
Not had a viewing since Monday, Tuesday cancelled as they had an offer accepted elsewhere, tonight's cancelled as she had to work late and will rearrange when she gets her next rota tomorrow.
But we have one tomorrow and 2 booked in for Saturday.0 -
Well that was a waste of an evening getting everything ship shape, decluttered and me disappearing out with the dog, dog bed, bowls etc etc. The supposed viewing never happened - he never showed up
Viewing was booked for 6pm and we decided that by 6.50pm it wasn't happening. Our estate agents shut at 5.30pm so we can only think/hope that he wasn't able to make it but by the time he knew, he couldn't get through to anyone to let them know.
Maybe he'll rearrange? Or maybe not.

We had one viewer who arranged to come. They didnt show then called agent to arrange a new viewing, they were held up in traffic. 2nd viewing - no show again!
It was so annoying. We were not living in the house and each of those viewings took me 2 hrs -travelling there and waiting hoping they would arrive soon!!
They arranged a 3rd viewing, the morning of that viewing my husband asked the agent to call them and leave a contact number so that if there was a problem they could let us know as it was another evening viewing. Agent called them - they had decided they didnt want to view it!!!! If hubby had not called to pass that info on, that would have been 3 no shows by the one person. So rude!
Hope none of you experience that!0
