Parking Ticket's - Rossendales Collect

Hello,
I had a parking ticket from Excel Parking last year early on. I spoke to them about it and appealed as I was eating in KFC and was parked in a KFC bay. I spoke to KFC and they said it was fine to park there. There were no parking signs in the peel center in Stockport to state I was entering into a contract of any sort upon entering the car park. There are in other parts of the peel center but not where I was going.
They refused my appeal as they always do and have sent me a couple of letters these then stopped and now I have a letter from Rossendales Collect stating I need to pay them or recovery action will commence. I have read lots of stuff on here about just ignoring them and also about not having enough signage in the Peel Center when taken to court. I have read that they have a bailiff service as well but this is clearly the debt collection part since it says professional debt collectors all over it.
My question is do I just continue to ignore this since it was early last year now as they will go away?
Thanks in advance
James

The advice on here is not to ignore and has been for nearly two years now, go to the Parking Ticket forum and read the sticky for the correct advice.morpheus83uk wrote: »I have read lots of stuff on here about just ignoring them0 -
Sorry I didn't realise there was a specific forum for that it's my first post.

I have a letter from Rossendales Collect stating I need to pay them or recovery action will commence
Does it say it WILL commence or MAY commence?0 -
I have just checked the letter and it says that it will commence.
I believe that as it is not their debt they cant take me to court since they are not the debt owner or something but if they do its inadequately signed since they don't have anything on the way in or out stating that you are entering into a contract. On the other side of the road it is different they have signs on the way in out everywhere possible. Where as the road is a through road so they cant put them there but then they could put them on entry but there isn't any and I just drove to the KFC parking spaces.
Oh and where can I find the sticky on the parking forum I cant seem to find it.

The four STICKY posts at the top is where you need to be looking.0 -
Thanks. ☺
I have had a look under post 4 where it suggests I look and at the bottom it states the followingIF YOU REALLY WANT TO WASTE HOURS ON IT THEN PLEASE NO NEW THREAD, JUST SEARCH THE PARKING FORUM FOR THEIR NAME AND MAKE A CUPPA AND READ ALL ABOUT THEIR SILLY LETTER CHAINS, AND EITHER SEND ONE ROBUST REPLY OR TOTALLY IGNORE THEM
But it also says that ignoring it is not the advice either so I am a little confused.
I am still reading through the links and everything currently but it's still a bit confusing.
Thanks

That's because you are confusing two things
The PCN itself: Shouldn't have been ignored as it would have been easy to nip this in the bud at POPLA but read the info on complaining to the landowner.
The debt collector: Always ignore0 -

I have just checked the letter and it says that it will commence.
very naughty that statement , or does it say ,
if you don,t pay us , we will send it back to Excell and they will commence action
forget the "rossendales collect" attitude , they are bailiffs , but ONLY whilst working on council stuff , you can if you wish just tell them to swivel
if they are offering to take you to court in there own name , tell then you will see them there ,0 -
Was it the KFC that hired the parking company?
if so then go back and see the manager if you want draft a letter and tell them in no uncertain terms that as the parking company are their agents they - the KFC branch are responsible for their actions ,( the parking company ) you expect them to cancel this immediatelyFrom the Plain Language Commission:
