Thank you all for your responses.
Ah right so I have half followed the advice then by ignoring the previous debt collector and I appealed which was rejected but I should have gone through POPLA at that stage? I was probably confused when reading the advice then.
It says that they are going to recover the debt. I can get a picture of the letters content obviously excluding my details if that would help?
Regarding the KFC statement I don't know I would presume not since they are all over the area just this area isn't signed on entry where the others are.if they are offering to take you to court in there own name , tell then you will see them there
I am not quite sure I understand this. Is this because it's not their debt they can't do that anyway?
Thank you soolin for moving it to the correct board I didn't know there was a specific board for this.
Thanks

Rossendale's cannot take you to court, if the paperwork says they will , and not "we recommend excel take you to court" then this is a very serious mis use of words , a trip to TS is recommended
Rossendale's are bullies , and often forget which cap they are wearing (council or PPC)0 -
Thanks I get that impression from the attitude they are bullies which is why I don't really care it's more the wording used I am enquiring about. I have looked again and it says that Excell have passed the debt onto them and their intention is to recover. I take it this is just a normal thing they say to get your interested as they do that with any debt collector?
Thanks

the difference between me knocking on your door and a trained ape , is they are trying to get 15% commission
a debt collector has no rights , although Rossendale's often forget that they are not working for the councils
if they insist , and use the words WE WILL a CC , then they are exceeding there powers , and a swift belt on the knee caps is needed .0 -

Of course Rossendales intend to recover - a debt collector only gets paid when it recovers. Out of every hundred letters sent out, a certain percentage pay up and the debt is recovered.New members, please refer to "sticky" threads that are alwasys "stuck" at the top of this forum0 -
Ah right so it's nothing to worry about and it's safe to ignore them then as its technically still with Excell the payment?
Thanks

if you "wish" , you could write back to rossendales , and say , the ticket in question , is in dispute , please hand your file back to excel.
after being told this , if they contact you again it is harassment.
think hard on the correct wording to rossendales0 -
Ok thanks I will just ignore them then and leave them to go away.0

I presume this is the correct thing to do since it was stated above?0
