Virgin sim only 6 month cashback offer. Having problems?

After seeing all of the nightmares people had had trying to do their claims, I phoned the cashback department today (0845 6551246) and asked them about my claim. I had received the text on 25th July to say they had received it and I would hear from them in 21 days.... I thought I would pre-empt the 'too late' letter. Anyway, the chap I spoke to said that it had been too late and as such had been rejected but that he would sort it out for me and I should receive my cheque within 30 days from today (made a note in my diary !). He did say that their system expected you to receive the first bill in the month that you ordered the SIM, but obviously this wasn't the case for me, and I suspect many other people, so this he said was the reason it said too late.
I'll now patiently wait and see......... It would be nice to think that I will get it without making anymore calls (ok I know, won't hold my breath !), because if it does come, then the deals are well worth doing, even if there is a bit of aggro.
Fingers crossed !!0 -

I have also been having problems with e2save. I wish this had all come out a few months ago as I am now 4 months into a 18 month contract with them and they have been troublesome from the start.
I sent back my first phone and had to wait a month to get it replaced. I had to call them daily and get angry before it arrived. This is particularly irritating because their phone number is only open during the working day and always extremely busy - not to mention the expensive already referred to.
I was also due an automatic cashback after 2 months. Still waiting. Apparently it is now on the way.
Thanks for the advice about the bills, I will amend my sending-in plans!
Not at all impressed to date and nervous that my 18 months seems a looooooonnnngg time
Thanks for bringing this up Martin - the general consensus is that we dont seem to like it!Debt free March 2010

I think you can ALL thank Martin for getting your money on this one. (and I don't mean that in a kiss backsides way). If e2save were to act like a lot of other companies out there you'd all be filling in small claims at the moment.0 -
also having probs with e2 save, and the cash back, recieved a letter from them telling me i had sent a bill in to early(it wasnt)and that they were sending me my documents back (they havent)spent ages on the phone and was finally told it might be a mistake on their part!!but still have not had cash back yet, what are they up to??0

I didn't get this deal but I did recieve all three of my cashbacks from another deal I did with e2save. I think the difference was that in the paperwork I got from them was a leaflet clearly outlining, in the form of a calendar, which bill they wanted.0

No you haven't!!
I am on Virgin 6 mth SIM only deal and I posted about a week ago and you have not responded to me by private message.
Your service is ridiculous and you should be ashamed at the level of customer service.
You are supposed to be committed to providing a 'superior shpping experience' whilst saving customers valuable time and money.
Once all this is sorted out I for one will be sending you the bill for the time and phone calls that I have incurred during all this.
You are a disgrace to the industry.

I'm still waiting for my third bill to come in .... it's late and I am still on the SIM card ... What do I do? I can't see anything to help on the Virgin Mobile site ... and this all sounds slightly worrying ...0
