By the way what happend to the rep from e2save who was replying to messages????
Eleanor one of the E2Save customer managers has been dealing with all complaints and issues and having just spoke to customer service it appears that they would prefer any problems with cashback to be phoned in to cashback team - 0845 6551246.

Can't say I'm suprised!!!
Haven't had time to read individual replies on the thread, but it appears i'm having the same issue that many people are experiencing.Difficulty obtaining the cash back offered.
My scenario
Third Bill dated the 3rd of July
10 July Received
Cashback instructions followed to the letter.
13 July Posted Recorded delivery Proof available
18 JulyDelivered - Electronic proof available
Txt msg to phone stating claim is being verified.
04 August Received a letter dated 01 August stating my claim had been rejected on the grounds of being received after the claim offer period had expired???:-(
18 th of July = Later than 3rd of July + 30 days??????
Since taking up the above deal I've been e-mailed on numerous occasions by E2Save offering apparently very good cash back offers. If the above is an example they can keep it!!!!
Next steps any one?
Cheers

If you read through this thread you will see your case is common.
They say you were late because the bill they really wanted was from month 3 - June, (not bill no. 3).
It seems a phone call to them will now sort this out.0 -
Hi
I would just like to thank you all for making me aware of this scam. I was almost going to sign up to a cashback offer on e2save as they seemed such a good offer but have now been put of it.
Sorry to change the subject but does anyone know where i can get a great deal from as my 12 month contract has ended with o2 & they can only offer me a new phone OR £100 off line rental for the 12 month period!!
Many Thanks

As a long-term customer of Carphone Warehouse and e2save's cashback deals (I currently have 6 running at various stages of maturity), I wish to leap partially to their defence over this fiasco. My experience of both companies (one owns the other) is that they handle cashback claims very honourably. For example, for the sake of my convenience, I've never yet sent a bill in by recorded delivery which affords them the opportunity to deny receiving it - but they have never done so and have always promptly issued the important SMS acknowledgement of receipt.
However, they do suffer from a degree of administrative incompetence in the way they (sometimes inconsistently) record cashback requirements in different places - specifically, the order confirmation email, on their internal systems, in their pre-sales information and in the "Your account" area on the e2save website (e2save customers only, of course). They have promptly recognised the few problems I've highlighted and they have always responded appropriately and in my favour.
The Virgin deal is a case in point where my order confirmation email differs (based on the most obvious interpretation) from the information in the "Your Account" area which is more explicit. My cashback claim, while delayed, was at no stage rejected and I received my first cheque this morning. I infer from this that they're realised their c**k-up and are honouring claims made in the spirit of the deal, as of course they should. Their reputation for integrity remains unsullied in my book while their competence and attention to detail needs to improve.
I would encourage all customer and users of this forum to engage with both companies on this basis (i.e. with a little patience if needed, but without jumping to accusations) as I believe that's the route to a less stressful and more harmonious life for all concerned!0 -
I currently have contracts with E2save and OneStopPhoneShop (both owned by Carphone Warehouse). I have had cashback claims denied on both of these deals. My experience of dealing with customer support has been shocking. If these mis-leading deals were solved after contacting them, I could put it down to incompetence, but the way you are dealt with it feels more like a scam. I am posted this just to make people aware. I do not want to waste my time trying to resolve this with their support center, instead in the future I will just well clear of cashback deals and Carphone Warehouse.0

I thought it worth mentioning that I have had a positive experience with this Virgin/e2save deal. I was as confused as everyone else as to what '3rd bill' meant, but the e2save website 'My Account' was more explicit, stating that it was the 3rd physical bill. My confusion was due to receiving my first bill about 10 days after the contract started. I was concerned about taking advantage of cashback deals, but in this instance it has been a good experience. I hope they sort out problems for people who have not been so lucky.
Sadly my experience with Virgin has not been as good. Reception is diabolical, at home, work, parents home etc. In this regard, Orange was certainly much better. Infinitely more expensive, but better reception!0 -
I've never yet sent a bill in by recorded delivery
You say you don't bother with recorded delivery.
Things have changed.
If you take out a new pricematch contract you will find that their terms now say that if they don't sign for receiving your claim, they void it and all that are due in the future.
So recorded delivery is a waste of money for these new contracts - even if the claim gets lost in the post they won't pay up.
This is the new condition:Where an item goes missing in the post and you haven't got our valid recorded delivery signature, then the item will be regarded unclaimed.0 -

Hi there,
I entered the same things but with o2 mobile- and was told will receive £111/- cash back within the first two months. When I called them few weeks ago they said that the credit had been raised- yet I have not received anything.
Everytime I have to call this premium number and it is getting very expensive.I also noticed that the 1st bill arrived on time and the rest I have to keep requesting
I do not know what to do as the monthly money comes out by direct debit
Please help0
