  • Don't trust these people as they will rip you off.I was signed up with a vodafone contract, after a few months vodafone changed their billing date from the middle of the month to the 1st of the month.Because of this I lost track of which bill I had to send. When I sent in what I thought was the correct one they said that it was he wrong one and wouldn't pay. After a few letters and giving up trying to get through on the phone I did eventually get my second cheque. When I sent off my 3rd voucher, after a few weeks when I hadn't received it I rang them but they claimed they didn't get it.They asked me if I had sent it by recorded delivery which I didn't (stupid I know but they got the other 2 via normal post) they said that I couldn't do anything about it.So a word of warning DONT touch these people with a barge pole!

My wife and I are on a Virgin E2save 6mth contract and having received our 3rd month statements we posted the first two pages registered mail but heard nothing.

Checked the Royal Mail tracking number that confirmed that the documents had been signed for.

Phoned redemptions to be told that they had not received the documents so could we fax them which we did.

Phoned to confirm that the faxes had been received and was told that they would now be dealt with.

A few weeks later phoned to check on whether the cheques had been sent and was told that they had not received page 4 showing the tarriff information.

Again, faxed in the statements incuding page 4 and telephoned to confirm that they had now received all the necessary info.

Was told that no faxes had been received.

    Resubmiited the faxes yet again.

    Phoned again to confirm receipt.

The customer service advisor went through all the documents on the phone and confirmed that everything was now received and could be processed.

A week later receive a letter saying that our Cashback claim information has been sent too early for the claim periods of our offer and that they were returning the documents for safe keeping and we would need to return them during the correct interval to claim our Cashback offer.

Phoned redemptions to explain that we were on a six mth contract and that the 3rd and 6mth statements have to be submitted within 30 days and to be sent recorded delivery so as to guarantee receipt of documents.

We were asked to fax in the documents again which by now I was reluctant to do and said that I would be speaking to a solicitor if they carried on.

I argued that this was sheer avoidance tactics and that this deal had been recommended by Martin Lewis and word would get back regarding this disgraceful service.

Anyway, gave in and refaxed all the documents again.

Phoned to confirm that they had been received and was told that they would now be sent to the Cashback team for processing.

Still awaiting our cheques of £45 each.

I have just signed up for a deal for a 12 month contract. I think the conditions are made deliberately ambiguous.

How about the wording of this one then? I'll only include the wording of the first instalment as the other 4 are nearly the same:

Instalment 1: - Send us the claim form and original monthly bill showing your name, address, mobile number and tariff you are connected on, that arrives showing you have been connected for 4 months.

The important bit of the sentence here is : that arrives showing you have been connected for 4 months.
    What does this mean?

    Does this mean:
    1) the bill that arrives after 4 months of you being connected? If so this would in fact be the 5th bill.
    or
    2) Does it meant the bill that arrives after 3 months, which if you pay it will mean you will be connected for 4 months.
If so this would be the 4th bill.

I've phoned them up and it's impossible to get a straight answer. They must send their staff to the masters school of obfuscation and goobledygook!

I'm reading it as the 4th bill I receive. i.e the bill that arrives 3 months after connection which if I pay it will mean I will be connected for 4 months. It's quite a leap of logic to get there and I'm still not quite sure if I'm doing the right thing. So come, someone from e2save tell me which bill is it?

    Is it
    A) the 4th bill I recieve that will arrive approximately 3 months after I receive the phone
    or is it
B)the bill that arrives approximately 4 months after I receive the phone which will be the 5th bill.

So come on e2save which is it A) or B)?
Can you give me a straight answer this time?

If they fail to pay up then all you have to do is cancel your direct debit and wait for them to ring you.

Better still if you have run up a hefty bill before hand.

See how quick they are to chase unpaid direct debits.

    Who's the winner then?

If these people carry on with this disgraceful service then all I can advise everyone to do is go and sign up up to one of there expensive phones like the NOkia N95 on a 18mth contract @ £35 a month and when you've got the phone cancel the direct debit and sit and wait for the phone to ring.

Both can play at the same game

    I doubt this would help.

Virgin Mobile & E2Save are not directly connected, the end result would be late mark on your credit file, and would not help you with the cashback.

After feedback from our customers we recognise the words “3rd bill” and 6th bill” in our acknowledgment email is causing confusion and in a few cases causing the claim to reject due to “a late bill”.

If you have submitted a claim for theVirgin sim only 6 month cashback offer” and your claim has been rejected as a late bill please call our cashback team on 0871 522 3403 where one of the team will manually check your claim.

    Kind regards

Can you put your REAL number on, not your PREMIUM 0871 number that costs 10p per minute from a landline and upto 50p from a mobile!

Looking on SayNOto0870 there are a few entries if you search for e2save and I found 01509 615993 which is for the customer service dept, why not give out this number then people using mobiles (Since thats what you sell) dont have to pay a stupid rate to call you, especially if you are busy and they are paying 10p per minute they are on hold!!!

Having carefully read the many documents sent by e2save I sent in my 3rd monthly bill dated 3rd July by recorded delivery on 23rd July.I have yet to have any communication, but anticipated having to wait 28 days.If I've correctly understood previous postings, e2save seem to be interpreting the wording of the documents differently to the vast majority of us.I await a private communication from e2save.
  • There may be rules against it but could you not send all the bills (or at least 2nd and 3rd then 5th and 6th). Surely that way you're covered ;)
