It would be helpful if e2save would state if bills need to be sent as either:
    1. Physically received bills, ie if 3rd bill means the 3rd bill received. This could be a little after 2months after connection. (This is previously been the way they managed/accepted the non pricematch contracts).
    2. Or the last bill received 90 days (3 months) after connection?
    3. Or the bill that shows 90 days (3 months) after connection?
    ummm...

I am also one of the people who purchased the contract in April, sent out July's bill and my claim was declined on the grounds that it has expired.

More precisely on the 30th of April I signed up for a 6 month SIM only Virgin mobile contract. I received the 1rst bill on the 7th of May, the second bill on the 7th of June and the 3rd bill on the 7th of July. I sent to e2save the July bill on the 16th of July by recorded delivery (still have the proof with the date). The letter that informs me of the rejection was dated 1rst of August.

    Thank you.

P.S. I will be checking my private messages... ;)

What they told us (before Martin took this up) was we were too late sending in the claim - in your case they are saying you should have sent them the bill dated 7th June. (Bill number 2, but dated the third month of the contract)

It seems they are going to pay out this time, but the 6th monthly bill they want is the September one (which is actually bill received number 5).

Hope they will publicly promise to pay out to non MSE customers who have been caught out by this confusion, and won't have the benefit of reading this thread.

My first post so please be kind!

I had a similar problem to others in that I received SIM in April and 3rd bill was dated 8th July. I sent this by recorded delivery immediately and got a rejection letter (dated 31st July) saying it was out of time.

After reading the posts today, I rang the 0871 522 3403 number. The lady I spoke to never mentioned anything about it being the incorrect bill I had sent. She said that it seemed to be a mistake and did I have a copy of the bill? I said I didn't as I had sent it to them without keeping a photocopy. Apparently all bills sent to them are shredded immediately (to do with data protection) and not returned to you! She suggested I go online and email another copy to her and she would sort it out. It took me about half an hour to register with Virgin and get access to my online account where I found that you can either receive bills through the post or online - not both.

I rang e2 back and after waiting about 5 mins spoke to someone else. I explained the problem and she said I should ring Virgin and ask them to send me another copy of the July bill and to send it on to them again! (presumably for it to be rejected again!!) I refused to do this saying I had already sent the bill to them and they had destroyed it. I am also not sure whether Virgin would charge you for another bill to be sent?? Anyway, she eventually asked me to hold on and she would try and sort it out. She then came back and said that I didn't have to send another bill and she would send a cheque within 28 days. :T I had been on the phone for about 15 minutes by then.

Hope this helps other people - good luck everyone.

Hope I don't have to go through all this again for the next cashback!!

From what people have posted I suspect they want whatever bill you have at 90 days (3 months). Rather than the 3rd physical bill.

OK, I'm another one. Looks like we all signed up at roughly the same time.

My order was placed 28 April, SIM received 1 May. July bill rejected.

I was considering a 12 month deal for my husband but not so sure I want the hassle!
  • i too have been told that my cashback claim was too late.
my sim was put together on 30th april, recieved my sim to use on 5th may.

    my 1st bill date-7th may
    2nd bill date 7th june
    3rd bill date 7th july

i sent my airtime bill dated 7 july on the 17th july by recorded delivery.(within the 30 days)i have recieved a letter on sat4th saying that it was recieved after the claim period!

please sort this out for me too.thanks

I too have had the cashback claim rejected saying I was too late, as many other posters I was also misled by e2save by this.

I sent in everything they asked of me, I ordered my sim on 29/4 got it the next day, the first bill arrived 7th May. Thinking that what e2save wanted was the first three shortly after 7th July I sent my bills in with a covering letter and a completed claim slip.

A few days letter a text was received stating they had received it, then nothing until this letter turned up.

e2save you need to get your act together and honour all these claims without the rigmarole and resubmitting claims etc.

Can you please pm me and I will give you the details again!

  • i just spoke to someone at e2save office and was told that it was their mistake and it was the 3rd bill that they expected(july) and they will send me a cheque if i get a copy of my bill to them.i could hear another call in the backround with the exact same thing.he said they had been over run with people phoning to complain and that it was their mistake!!!!
lets see how many others get their cheque..

but then that goes against what Eleanor the e2save rep has said above... for the next one they are expecting September from what I can understand.

I think, given the fiasco due to a badly worded deal, they should simply honour cheques for June, July, September and October because I'm sure many that took up this deal do not read MSE forums.
