Although you placed your order in April, it probably didn't go through til May, which is why the July bill was correct, being the 3rd (May, June, July). This means you should now send the October one - but phone them up to check (landline number in my post above). If it's the September one you need to send then I think you will be too late now anyway.
  • Can someone give me some advise on Virgin's 6 months Sim only cash back deal.

I placed an order for the Sim card on 26/04/07 and sent the July invoice to e2save and successfully received my 1st cash back for £45.

Now reading this forum I am confused as to which invoice to send for the second claim ie the September invoice or the October invoice which I haven,t received yet?

Also if you look at e2save website they are doing the same cash back deal again and apparently you can apply again.

    Is it worth it?

I took my contract out around that date and posted my Sept bill ages ago and recieved my cashback cheque sometime last week/ week before. Post it to the Crewe address and don't forget the voucher.

They make the rules up now as they go along. September WAS the correct month, but now you have to put up with what they say or sue. personally, on two different contracts, I've already warned them that I will sue. I have sufficient evidence to prove they are attempting to change my original t&c. They have ignored all my warnings but I suspect they will pay the correct months. Leave it until the following month and you risk being told you've sent it late (as were many sending in July when it should have been June). However, on this deal you only have one more claim and if they have said in writing that it's now October you'd also be in a strong position if sending it a month late.
  • mobilejunkie Send in september.. you will be told it's too early.

they've now changed the section under "your account" for this deal but i have before and after screenshots.

they also say that proof of sending (i.e. even recorded delivery signed for receipt) is NOT proof of delivery. they say basically if they haven't signed the claim will go unpaid. big problem here is the dunstable mail is redirected and recorded items are in general frequently un signed for, particularly if they are going to an organisations receiving 1000s per day (royal mail don't wait for 1000 sigs..)

and of course, now they are trying the unfair contracts term that is mess up first claim all others are invalid. this have been proven illegal already in a county court and im sure it would be again.

also i have spoken to a very good solicitor who has told me that a term such as claim within 30 days (actually less than 28 days if you look closely) is unlikely going to be binding if there isnt an equal 1 for the consumer (i.e. pay the amount owed of a valid claim within 28 days of receipt).

this is perhaps the biggest mobile scam i have ever seen and i have proof from other customers and former staff that is a deliberate con. fancy websites such as mycashbackclaim.co.uk try to add legitimacy and so the networks/OFT/trading standards will think they are legit. e2save are 100% fraudlent on this matter.

take a look at the e2save.com MODERATED forum and you see customer satisfaction is about 1%.

i suggest simply take your recorded receipt to the small claims, they will defend it but not turn up to the local court.

Thanks, but that isn't my situation. They have received my claim and the next one should get to them any day now. I am not prepared to send anything a month later than my original t&c and that's why I will sue if they don't pay the correct month (whatever they say now about what that is!). I have all the evidence I need and it shouldn't be a problem. Again, they cannot (and are not) refusing future claims even if either the one they have or the one they are about to get goes unpaid. I am not on those t&c - even with the two changes they've tried to impose on existing contracts since. Also, the less time than you think and the signed for clause don't apply in these particular instances; that's where the fun is about to start with the first correct (but soon to be refused for many) price match deals.

In the past (like many) I've had extremely good experience with them. Unfortunately they reorganised about 5 months ago and the person now in charge is a total crook. It doesn't worry me - just find it really annoying and a great shame. Now there is NO-WHERE you can actually trust and most people are going to get stung wherever they go. I won't be one of them though. As to their "forum", I wouldn't bother going there - they can stick that where they sent their integrity as an organisation!
  • Yes mobilejunkie, if what you're saying isn't clear enough for anybody..basically you have pointed out correctly that the signed for and penalty clauses are in the new T&C's, basically they werent so fraudlent in the past in my opinion but to compete they've perhaps had to be. Cashback the end is nigh!

Good luck with your claims..you'll need it even on the old T&C's. how long have they had your first one btw? you do them for family members and friends right so it's not 4 months is it? ;)

for me it just about is..

No, it's not. One outstanding since August (two others sent a lot later have been paid). One just sent, three more later this month and another 4 for friends and family this month plus 4 more for them from september. I don't need luck to get my cashback with this lot, but I could do without the new aggravation!

I've had a text stating my 6 month contract expires soon and I can arrange another 6 month contract with 150 mins & 150 Text per month with 6 months free line rental.

It then gives me an 0800 number to call.

Has anyone else had one & should I renew, if I can get the same deal keeping the same number it has to be a good thing (just have to remember that E2Save's month 3 & 6 are different to everyone else on the planet).

PS - I sent my Sept. bill and got my cheque within 21 days, so had the full £90 back, the first £45 was a pain, but the second was easy.

Not only are their months 3 and 6 different to everyone else but they also change them now and then. I would be VERY careful about falling into the usual "they've always paid up without problems trap". The deal has been around again for a while. If you do it THIS time, make absolutely certain you know how it works NOW and print everything off when you do it.
  • I've taken out my second 6 month deal via Carphonewarehouse this time because I only need to send one bill in month 4 and will recieve one £90 cheque vs 2 from e2save. Frankly, I can afford to loose £90 cashback should the T&C change and surely I can manage to send one 4th month bill :D . You can't port virgin payg to virgin contract so I've ported an old number to orange and will port back to virgin

Hopefully they'll be better deals in January:j .
