Aim for this week is to get back into all my routines now that my university teaching is finished (FOR THE LAST TIME! THREE MORE DEADLINES AND THAT'S IT! <ahem>) - so NSD days, no junk, cooking properly etc. Weekend away this weekend but should be cheap as is with guides.
Happy monday everyone, hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weather yesterday. Sadly I was stuck on an all day first aid course....Proud to be debt free September 2014. :j

Hello!
Not checked in for a couple of days, all spend days I'm afraid!
Had a busy weekend, not helped by the rugby which meant an all dayer for dh!!!
Im thinking of ordering food online this week again because it means not setting foot in a supermarket? Its worked so far since last week
Hope youre all well and well done on all the sfd's and ltw!Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Hi All
Claws way to top to breathe! And that was monday. Am shattered.
Loadsa cafe stuff going on today, some good some bad. Interview went well, although it wasnt busy enough for their likng (well it was empty when they were there) annoyingly 2 mins after they left a load of mums turned up for takeaway! So they are coming back....
Getting a few moans and grumbles about the card machine...hoping Paypal deliver it really soon. I also still dont have my darned till that I ordered and paid for 3 weeks ago. The woman who sold it is very hard to get hold of. Havent heard from her in a week. Have had to tell Gumtree as I either need the till or a refund.
Finding it all a bit much today. I desperately need to nail my school pick up routine as it is just too much closing the cafe and legging it, really exhausted.
Oh & in other small news, I have now passed the 12 weeks, & had my scan, so I am looking forward to a small Bob arriving sometime in early Octobermy son is so happy.
If one more person asks me either, is it planned, (yes nosey) or tells me they'd written me off due to the business, & or age gap (son is 6) I may well weep. I would never say that to someone, even if they had a 16 year old & said they were pregnant. People eh!

Congrats, Bob! What wonderful news. There's a 5 year age gap between me and my brother and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. We've always loved each other to bits and I think that's because I was so excited from the moment I found out that I'd be a big sister!
Bad day for me- found out I need root canal treatment which is too complex to be available on the NHS (£600 for private), or it'll have to be an extraction. I can't believe it- I'm 27! I don't want to lose a tooth, so am researching options now...
Otherwise, looking forward to going away this time next week with my mum. This holiday couldn't come soon enough!Letting Go NST #17

Dont worry theres 8 years between my 2, and i'd love another one. It took me a long time to have ds, so im probably going to have another 8 year gap between 2 & 3!:eek:Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Congratulations Bob. When I helped out at playgroup, one of the other helpers had three children who were 21, 14 and 7 years old.
Had a slow day (still tired from yesterday) and a spendy day. Spent the morning in bed, folding t-shirts using the folding table I bought to use for eating and using the laptop whilst recuperating.
Went out to buy lightbulbs. The replacement for my bedside sewing/reading light (it goes next to the couch usually) was planned but the bathroom and DS3's bulbs have gone in the last two days. He bought a cheapie for the bathroom, so intended one for his room and a spare in case they all go in turn but one of the bulbs in here is missing, so no spare.
Also bought some 'hooks'. They are like thick cup hooks but nearly closed (like a large curtain wire loop). Want to put a rail under the cabinets in the kitchen to hang tools/ steamer layers/ sieves etc. I had a hanging pan rack and under stairs shelves here before but didn't have time to re-fit anything (4 open shelf units which never got put up but used to stand in worktop corners were used as part of the 'new' kitchen installed at the other house last year). I have the rail, I had some of these hooks (bought for a different purpose originally) but cannot find them.
So looked in Wilco's (same aisle as the bulbs) to buy more of the same as not having the rail up now that I can finally do it and having anything that won't go in a drawer stacked on top of the microwave is driving me insane. Think I did quite well, as Wilco's now have a 'pick and mix' on a range of nails, screws and similar bits. Two large hooks would have cost £1.98. For £1.99 I filled a small bag with 6 slightly smaller ones and filled the rest of the space with 2 sizes of screws. However not budgeted for.
Was going to go out again to buy toilet rolls and some bits that will be needed for April as had already spent money but disinclined to go out again once I got home so now will try not to spend again until the toilet rolls run out - they should do this week and hopefully part of next (will not obsess about toilet rolls and start checking how much is left every time I go in the bathroom).
Today I am grateful for being able to find what I needed (would have been an 8 mile trip to buy bulb from original shop), for seeing an unusual bird, for benches to rest on in the town centre and for simple food from the stores (not the healthiest meal but it was quick and easy.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -

Don't know if it is because the Ombudsman people have asked them for the correspondence on my complaint (spent most of last Monday writing to the ombudsman after spending Sunday on a final letter to First Utility outlining exactly what money I wanted from them) but:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

Congratulations! That is excellent to hear
Today should be another SFD, I'm currently trying to force myself out of bed and go to work (on the plus side if I stayed here it definitely would be a SFD :rotfl: ) Sometimes I wish I had a job like OH where I could have the occasional random day off or not feel guilty if I had a sick day. Sorry I'm just being mardy as I'm overly tired.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
