Waking up time here,yawn!
Had a bit of a rubbish day yesterday, it was pay day, which is great, but the reality of how much money I'm left with upsets me sometimes! Dont get me wrong, I'm not going to starve or be cold which I'm very grateful for but its things like dd's easter fair which is tonight, and the fact that ds dropped dd's phone and smashed the screen, they all add up! Also dh is going on a stag do, despite the fact that we dont even get a weekend away this year as a family! He needs over £100 to pay it off this week which we havent got, and then the money he'll expect to drink away over the weekend
I paid for home insurance this week, it was £93, which i thought was great!
Sorry for the moan! I'll come back later a bit happier i hope! :rotfl:Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Hello peoples.
Sorry to worry you. It was client related. A longstanding client passed away very suddenly last week, leaving her husband of decades behind. He rang to tell us she had passed away and I discovered yesterday (cryptic because I don't like writing this) that he went to join her the very same day after deciding he couldn't live without her. It was shocking enough when I spoke to him and found out about his wife, but to know he is gone as well, and they were the most cheerful happy loving people.. It rocked me.
Have had it confirmed by the Dr last night. I have a sinus and ear infection. Antibiotics for me.
Have a good day all xx

Hey lovely turtles,

Roll on April going to update my figures but they are bad. Sorry Shyspender I should have tried harder. Thanks for taking over the reins,:T
Sfd 12/18 will fail on that one
Food 166.68/50 ??? Expecting war to break out??
Pets 21.04/25.00 phew
Fuel 0/50?? I filled up before this month.
Plus added 220.00 to my credit card, train tickets daughter owes me 70.00 and new shoes will clear by end of April.
Right know where I am going wrong, going to try harder next month. Now on doing monthly shops, budget so much better that way.
Lilt hugs hope your feeling better soon. Horrid news as well x
Magic cat - Hope things improve for you shortly. Welcome to borrow my squeezy stress brick on my desk. x
Had to collect Grandson from school earlier yesterday, nasty fall cut head and grazed all his face. He was okay, the cut had knitted together when I collected him 10 mins later. Had to laugh was to update his mum on his condition he wouldn't let me phone her until he had got to my house, think he was worried I would take him home instead. Likes coming to mine bit too much.:)
Weight - well got on scales this morning and putting on weight. Today hopefully get a long walk in before school pick up. Going to set myself walking and weight targets for April.
Mothernerd sounding - in the words of Peter Andre - a mysterious girl.
Worked my butt off this week so chilling a bit too much at my desk and trying not to laugh. One boss is away skiing and broke his nose and bone in his hand. The thought of him sat there with a tampon up his nose is creasing me up.

Lilt - I can totally see why that would be incredibly distressing, so sorry. How strange as well.
Skintlittledragon - I hear ya, I often feel like that. It is pants when you get a big amount in your account but by the time the essentials go out, the amount you have to 'enjoy' life is teeny. But that is why we are all here right? One day it wont be like that for us. And I also do try and think that the best things in life, really are free (apart from excellent coffee)
Magic Cat - Sorry things are rubbish for you at the moment. And thank you for the kind wishes.
Calling - Poor grandson. Thats lovely you have such a strong bond though, good grandparents are amazing.
Today signifies the start of no more school runs for at least 2 weeks. Yippee! This gives me a whole 1.5 hours extra per day, and I am delighted.
Other little things from today.
1) Found 1p
2) Had a good day in the business, managed to get to the bank as well.
3) Checked all reciepts on both accounts.
4) Paypal machine STILL not here. I have again called Parcelforce who unhelpfully say, well we cant walk up and down the whole street looking for a neighbour to take it in. There are builders working next door, with the front door open all day. I have just been round and asked them specifically if they will take in the parcel, and written a note to put on my front door. Surely that is enough for even the thickest driver to put 1+1 together???
5) Still no sign of my cash till & seller still not answering messages. Have sent ANOTHER message to Gumtree and got no response. I think Paypal who I thank goodness paid via ought to be able to help me reclaim the £30 at least?
6) Walked & cycled a lot today, took 1 bus due to timing for pick up.
7) Stopped off at chemist on way home to collect my next installment of free vitamins.
8) Opened all mail, filed bank statements, made a note of date business banking charges go out, & filed checked off reciepts.
9) Recieved credit card statement for business, checked due date, logged amount on my spreadsheet & noted payment date in my diary
10) Took a banana out of the freezer that I can use in banana bread
Think thats it today. Tommorow is my last working day this week. Really hoping its a nice busy one, then we have sons dance show at the weekend. He has been going to the dance school since he was 4 and the standard of the annual shows is incredible. In the older age groups they are west end show standard. But the place is friendly & encouraging, unlike some of the local ballet schools which sound like boot camp. So I am really looking forward to that & 2 whole days of family time.
Have a good night all.

Today I am grateful for not getting wet during my lunch time walk, for lovely pupils, for a mse chat with struggling neighbour, for dh making enough curry last night for tonight as well, for having finished school for the hols.

Walked to book in with a new estate agent (appointment tomorrow for valuation and photos, so need to do more cleaning) and bought toilet rolls on the way back as the last roll is in use (should have lasted but friend stayed for 10 days and then DS3's gf so extra person for half the month.
Back out for optician's appointment - not much change so have prescription and voucher but will hang on hoping the house sells (voucher gets me £80 off but varifocals so very expensive).
As I have already spent, I went back out to Tessimo's armed with a list of essential toiletries for next month plus left it late enough to pick up a few bargains. Spent just over £15 nearly all on list. DS3 requested cake but it is coming out of his 'egg money' from grandma. Have fruit and lots of crunchy veg for healthy snacks. Did best on salad items. Ten 10p items including bags of kale and spinach, tubs of coleslaw, curried noodle salad and edamame and pea salad - was intending to make coleslaw but a small white cabbage was 60p so will just add extra crunch to the bought stuff. Two fennel bulbs (2 for 10p, 5p each).
Long and difficult journey home (stopped at the bus station for a sit down and re-packed as much as I could into the rucksack - two bags were making crutch difficult to control) but got here in the end.
Today I am grateful for a full freezer, for doing more than I thought possible and for clutter clearing (including 4 hideous red lampshades left by DS2, even if it involved more trips up the ladder than I wanted). Grateful to DS3 who came in and got the last one. It was the one I started with but DS2 seems to have jammed it further on than it should be. Apple muncher of course I'll add you to the list (as soon as I break up I'll start writing next month!)
Also, thank you for noticing, I crept over the 60% mark last night as it was payday :j

Today was a spendy day, aldi voucher, chocolate containing foods and a takeaway. I really haven't played by the no eating out rule very well this month!
