Stuck on 12 SFD's so definitely not hitting any targets. Todays spends include £20 in the supermarket. £9 of which was on a cake I should have baked tonight but frankly after the day I had plus the night I got home to, £9 is a bargain. £5 on a taxi this morning.

Positives, because I really need them for the day.

The house has been cleaned tonight so is nice again after my huge clean up mission which included repainting half the living room on Monday. Jellytots bedding including duvet has been washed and dried and smells lovely. Tomorrow is Friday and I have a giant chocolate cake. I found hazelnut flavour douwe egberts. Heaven. Yeah thats basically it for positives. Weak sauce.

    Night all xx

    Evening all,

    It is quiet on here!

Planning a SFD as going to a friends for a catch up, others are having wine but I'm happy with water as I'm going to drive to save on taxi fare too.

Just done a tutoring session and will pay that off the debt in a minute. Unfortunately, I've only got one session booked in the next two weeks so my payments will definitely slow down :(

However, I have broken up for the holidays and tomorrow will see me cracking on with the decluttering and cleaning to keep myself busy and stop me spending money. I promise I'll post the April challenge asap but it'll probably be tomorrow night now.

    Hi turtleys.

Sorry, work has been incredibly draining and then OH had friends up which means spend-free days have gone very very wrong.
I think he is having a great time though which makes me happy and is worth the extra expense.
    :)

Lilty, please don't blame yourself or anything. There is nothing you could have done. You could not have forseen what he was about to do. It is heartbreaking though.
I send you lots of hugs.
    :(

    Desperate for payday to hit.
    :undecided

Hope everyone else is doing okay. I am going to attempt to complete April in full as I seem to be sucking at this recently.
    Hugs to all you turtleys.

Spent a silly amount of time chasing down bone china mugs to take for mil and her friend. Not fine china. Or porcelain (makes me think of toilet bowls!). Finally found enough, with a decent design on them. Phew!

Today I am grateful for wonderful sunshine, for getting the lawns mown, for a day with dh, for fresh bed linen, for our first tulip.

    2 more sleeps...

    Hi everyone!

Lilt sorry to hear your bad news.

    Bobarella congratulations!

Thanks everyone who has asked about the job - I still haven't heard and am hoping that no news is good news!

Have been feeling pretty down all week. Uni has been utter pants. Have complained to tutors about the lack of support etc and it looks like they aren't prepared to do anything to help the situation. So it looks like it will have to be the long, drawn out complaints procedure. In addition, there has been a big bust up in the class. Now, I haven't fallen out with anyone but feel completely stuck in the middle. I feel like I am back in primary school!

I have been off work sick the last few days with a flu type thing, feeling completely run down and exhausted, which I don't think has helped my mood. Luckily, I am booked into a spa for 4 hours worth of pampering tomorrow (my Mother's Day present) so I'm hoping that will go someway towards breaking me out of this mood.

I haven't done very well with the challenge this month. I have gone at least £200 over on my budgets. I know some of this is down to the interview, but I have to admit that some has just been down to lack of self control this month. I stopped counting SFDs so have no idea how many I managed. Oh, and my diet has just been utterly ridiculous too. Last night I had nothing to eat all day apart form a hot cross bun at about 9.30pm. Today I have eaten 2 bags of liquorice all sorts!

Off to bed soon, hoping I will wake up in a better mood tomorrow. Good night!

Just wanted to curl up in a ball and sleep all day but had appointment with new Estate Agent so hauled myself onto the bus. Swept lots of floors, moved lots of stuff from the back garden into the shed, propped up the fallen down fence panel with the bins and some stuff from the shed into the bin.

Trying for £5050 less than the bad estate agent but no 'offers £15,000 below that'. One of the cheques arrived today so carried on to Bolton to bank it. Took me half an hour to walk to the bank.

I had filled two water bottles but somehow they got left behind (was carrying lots of cleaning materials). Whilst I was at the other house I drank water from the container I had taken to use for cleaning stuff and water (it was an oval cereal dispenser type container so perfectly clean) but had to buy 2 cans of diet coke in Bolton (45p each in £stretcher which was a relief as usually very expensive).

Meant to go back this evening to bring plant pots from other house to make more use of the bus ticket but too tired and stiff (much longer journey than others I have done). Fighting the urge to go and buy chips (talked myself down from a kebab), telling myself I am full having had lots of bargain price salads.

Think I now have all the bills (including extras) covered for this month, should be able to pay a bit extra off the credit cards (already paid the minimums on 3 out of 4 and they only arrived this week, 4th one came today but needs a little more juggling yet) if the other cheques arrive promptly.

Today I am grateful for pleasant estate agents (he's local, been in business for 25 years and the woman I spoke to in the office yesterday has been with him for the past 18 years), for determination to be cheerful and enjoying the little things (was stuck with a woman for half the return journey who grumbled incessantly - I just smiled and nodded and resolved not to be like that) and for the daffodils and hyacinths in the garden (planted out after Christmas 2013).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Calling I found an extortionate little jar in Mr S. They were on the top shelf along with vanilla and caramel flavours. Above the normal (expensive) stuff. Don't die when I tell you but it was £3 for the jar. So worth it. Never need a Costa again between that and my Monin caramel syrup ;) xx

Still no SFD. I think I officially retire this month. Ruined by clothes and just falling off the wagon big. Chinese tonight, the best I have ever had by long way and no tummy ache which I had stopped eating chinese because of. :)

    Night chaps xx
