Happy sunny afternoon everyone
Hope you've all had productive days. Sorry you are stuck inside the only girl
Thanks fmess, yup I'm stuck inside and I think they have already turned the heating off so I'm starting to feel frozen. But on the positive note, it is a likely NSD because all shops will be closed by the time we finish here."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -

Hi everyone!
Thanks Mothernerd, the only girl & calling. I feel ok today, not great, but ok. I think I just have so much to get through over the next 2 months that I need to start breaking it into manageable tasks rather than just thinking 'how the hell am I going to manage it all?'. I was sooo looking forward to the holiday in June, but the terror attack sent me into panic mode. I just hope nothing else happens there!
It's been really sunny and warm here today, which was great for watching DSs rugby this morning. It was sad to see the other team trying to cheat, and even worse that their coach was ignoring it, but so proud of DSs team for staying disciplined and winning through hard work and not having to cheat! It was only DSs 3rd proper game and he scored a try, so I am a proud mummy!
Calling I haven't been to that cafe for a while, but if it's anything like it used to be then you did well to just have the coffee and not give into cake. They looked scrumptious last time I was there!
We have promised DS & DD that we will take them to an ice cream parlour in Llandudno over Easter (probably after a walk on the Orme) and they can choose whatever they want because they both had fantastic parents evenings last week.
Managed to write an extra 500 words on my dissertation today. Still have at least 4000 to go, but every little helps, right?
Food wise, hasn't been as healthy as I would like, but really enjoyed a cooked breakfast before rugby and roast chicken dinner this afternoon. Now just need to get motivated to prep dinners for tomorrow.0 -

Well take care everyone, can't believe another month is almost over! Enjoy your evening:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Hi me again. Calling in just to say I official claim NSD no. 8. :j
It was well past 5pm when our training finished and had to drive 50 minutes to get home. Shops were all closed so didn't get to do any shopping.
I was also pleased to see that the sun was still up and I was able to catch at least an hour of sunshine and free electricity from the solar panels to do one batch of laundry. I am on my third batch of laundry, the washing machine and dryer are both on, which is not cheap at the moment, as I am using electricity from the national grid, but at least I can finish all the laundry before I start another busy working week.
I am thankful for narrowly missing the naughty step tonight. When we got home from the training, I was sorely tempted to slouch off and do nothing and watch the telly til bedtime (and most probably stuff my face with junk foods at the same time). But I resisted sitting on the couch and kept on moving about, starting with cleaning the kitchen floor and "shining my sink." I almost said to my husband that I didn't feel like cooking, can we just go out to eat? But I saw some uncooked pasta, last 3 tins of tuna in brine and pasta sauce and went about cooking tuna pasta bake. While having our dinner, I confided to the family about my wicked thoughts of eating out and my DH said, if I had told him, he would have probably got in to the car before I even said let's go. Just as well. I think we saved ourselves at least £40 for staying in and using up the stocks in the cupboard. Whew. What a narrow escape. Very MSE, and DFW. I am over the moon. :j. And by the way, we still have some left overs so that's our LTW for tomorrow sorted! :j:j:j
And with this, I bid you all good night and wish you all a very MSE week ahead, fellow turtles."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -
Hi all.
Well.. I may as well make this naughty step comfortable. My spending has gone.. through the roof. I have not been smart. I have smashed budgets left right and centre. I am lucky in that this will all be covered by my bonus and I will still end up much better off but still..
I've had 1 NSD. the rest have been tragically spendy. What I can be grateful for is helping out someone on here with money, and someone else with something for their daughter (secret squirrels!) with something I had sat around the house and something I needed to complete it. People are fantastic
I am also very grateful for the rain holding off, and for finding a new park with tame squirrels, pigeons (chickens as Jelly calls them) and an amazing childrens park which lit Jelly up for hours. Amazing what you can find when you really look around your surroundings.
Welshkitty I too am dieting, and today due to lack of planning ended up eating lots of little bits of food I bought for Jellys picnic and not the planned lunch. I still ended up way under calories for the day so need to figure out where I am going wrong. I've eaten a mint magnum to bring the calories up :rotfl:
Anyways the short answer is I have no idea where I am at other than 12 SFD's. And 10 very spendy ones
Have a lovely evening folks. xx

A SFD. I have sawn off a two foot length of the ivy 'branch' which I then cut down into four lumps which I used to weigh down the contents of the green bin so I could pack more in. Bin is now full and plenty more bits on the ground if I want to chop up more and pack it in rubble sacks until there is space. Spent two hours on that and have been very lazy for the rest of the day. Felt very brave as had to go up a step further on the ladders to get the tree saw at the best angle - I was outside in the backs and the lump dropped into the garden, so very safe.
Today I am grateful for the perfect sliver of moon in a grey velvet sky, lovely sunshine (had to take my sweatshirt off outside) and only one bad encounter with pyracantha thorns. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Can't remember how many spend-free days I have had but I have been adding them each evening after work.
My total is now twelve out of fifteen!!!!!!!

We tried something different this weekend... wild camping. It is perfectly legal (providing there is no "no overnight camping" signs) to camp anywhere in Scotland.
So... we tried it and it was brilliant. We went up north to a wee coastal village and slept in the campervan overnight. It was brilliant. Not only was it great but during our exploration of the coast, we found a few other places where we can wild camp too. Can't wait for the next time.
I have been reading but am not entirely sure what all has happened.
I can only remember that I am very sorry to have heard about theonlygirl's friend who passed on.
Hugs to you.
I can't remember seeing anything about the eclipse but I maybe have and just missed it.
We managed to time the breakfast break and one of our wonderful staff took in some welding mask glass so that we could watch. It was amazing. We were very very lucky.
Hugs to you all.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Welshkitty those cakes looked gorgeous but my friend reminded me that I had vowed to keep off sugary stuff. I think 8 mile walk deserved it but then again the idea of the walk was to tone up. Ice cream parlour treat sounds lovely for your little ones.
Lilt totally agree with you, amazing what lurks on your doorstep you never find out about. Discovered few gems today, to visit properly without dog in tow.
