Loving your mummy day stories. I feel so weepy today miss my sister and just feel sad for her boys. Not seeing my girls today one in Amsterdam this weekend and as the other is a mummy reckon she needs her own spoily day, so meeting up next weekend instead.

Freezing out there perhaps I should have run with the dog. Going to get back onto debt busting this week as I really haven't been trying lately.

De clutter time next Cs bag collection tomorrow.

I have this urge to cut the grass really in a strange mood today lol

I find today such a special day for me - for many years I thought I would never be able to be a mum. It is such a privilege to be one now.

Sending out lots of hugs to share round xx

    - I closed one bank account (the one that joined with the black horse bank) as they insisted on dragging me in every six months and then would spend 1/2 hour trying to sell me various insurance type products I couldn't afford and didn't want.

Sorry for no check in yesterday. Felt absolutely rotten all morning (had to stay close to the bathroom) eased off in late afternoon and then I fell asleep in the early evening and slept properly for what feels like the first time in weeks but is probably only three bad nights.

Woke up at 3am so after much preparation, sent another e-mail to the energy company rejecting their 'proposed solution' and listing how much I want back off them and why. They have paid £100 (of my money) back to my bank account, so have requested cheque payments (dual fuel discount is always paid by cheque anyway) and closed both direct debits so they can't take more from me. Co-op are my new suppliers here and the for sale house is £143-17 in credit (credited back the last three months payments including the one when the empty house used £88 of gas by itself). I have demanded that this comes back to me. Need to get brave later and do a covering letter for the Ombudsman and then get all the supporting documentation in order and write a precis.

Cooked the leg of lamb (to be frozen for Easter), made some cakes. want to blanch some ys parsnips and get them away as well. Think I have sorted my embroidery threads but they will take up more room (but will all be in the same sort of storage). Think they originally filled four sets of little stationery drawers, then crammed them in three to free one up for stationery. Have used a lot but to get them back in proper order they need to have a little room to breathe - otherwise a whole lot will explode out of the drawer when I try to pull one out.

Should have the other 'litter tray' (think they might be for stationery as well, bit bigger than a sheet of A4 and about 2" deep). One of them now holds all my bras/ knickers (I have made peace with them) and socks (+ bandages as I had a little space and they fit) and think the other will hold all my t-shirts or all the leftover plastic drawer contents - scarves, hankies, thick tights, jewellery, scrunchies, pills and other assorted bits. If I tried I bet I could Kondo all my clothes into two proper drawers - don't know if that is an achievement or just sad. I only need to look respectable for funerals and most of my clothing is black. Will have to practice folding so that I can tell which is which in my two linen skirts and my trousers.

Claimed two more SFD (no sorry must take one back - bought painkillers and onion sets yesterday) and planted out 3 little cyclamen that were on the windowsill for Christmas - only just cleared enough outdoor space so they can be planted.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

    Congrats, Lilt- well deserved :T

Went to the seaside with my parents, grandma and uncle. Weather was horrid, but had a nice meal out and cups of tea back at my uncles house. This time next year, maybe I will be a mum. Weird...

Up to 8 NSD's and 8 LTW's too. Feeling rotten as have come down with a cold, but must make soup tonight for LTW tomorrow. The vitamins should do me good.

Hugs to all who need them today. Can be both a joyful day but a tough day for some.

breakfast in bed and picnic organised by both girls and a trip to the yorkshire sculpture park. NSD as my mum came with us and she paid for parking as we're supposed to go for fish and chips afterwards but we we're all too full. Came home to a decent cup of tea and banana, chocolate bread instead. Hugs to all those who need them today.

Cheered up now. Eldest daughter popped in to see me and yummy hug off grandson helped. Had some lovely flowers.

Cut the grass, nice to see bit of sunshine briefly. Nice to smell fresh cut grass.

Didn't go food shopping today in the end. A whole SF weekend.

Think I may need to get my feet sorted, probably a corn but painful walking. Ouch more spending.

Glad your feeling better Mothernerd I will have to get into Kondo feeling left out. Filled a bag for the CS today.

Trying to cut out sugary stuff today. Always lacking energy lately and my tummy is so wobbly!!

    Good evening.

A spendy day today but very much worth it. I paid £12.80 to take my mum out for a flea cup (scone, cake and cup of tea).
Well worth it to say thank you for all the years and dramas she has supported me through.
    :)

Also went to get fuel... £35.00 exactly to fill the tank.

We have had a discussion about my credit card and this month I will be paying off £380!!
This brings me down to £2750.
    :j

I know that still sounds like a lot but but it means that if I have any other emergencies or bills (I mean stuff like car insurance, etc but I should not have anything else until next year) I will hopefully still not go over £3000 again.
Which is a small victory I think.
    :o

Still waiting on t0p c4sh b4ck to credit my account for a heap of stuff... should hopefully come through in April as that will be 12 weeks.
    :undecided

Happy Mothers Day to all the mums out there although I hope you family recognise your efforts every single day and not just once a year as you are all amazing.
    Hugs to everyone.

edit: forgot to say the £12.80 came out of my treat fund.

    Hello all you lovely peeps,

Apologies for not being around FOREVER, but some people might remember me. I just wanted to pop in and say hello :) me and DH are still debt busting, and are so nearly there (should be paid off next month!! woo hoo!) and that the support on here was invaluable. I stopped posting on the challenge towards the end of last year as I was struggling with the unexpected death of my father earlier in the year still, and a few other things, but we kept going, inspired by you guys. I just found it too hard to write about it every day on the forum so bowed out.

It's lovely to see familiar names on here, and good to see new peeps have found this haven of help too. Keep going, if I can do it, you certainly can.

thank you so much to everyone who was kind enough to support and help me over the past 2 years on here... you are all angels :A

(I am going to update my sig now, how good will that feel?)
