Hi everyone , sorry I've been absent, so much going on at work I'm super wiped out, by the time I'm home lately.

Mothernerd, like everyone else I'm totally disgusted with the way in which this supplier is carrying on . I cannot wait till you get it all sorted.

Well done Lilt, truly deserved! I still need to catch up big time with everyone's progress!

Well I've had 2 spend days in total this month so far and I keep craving peanut m and ms, so I've told the 3 oldest children to get me a large pack each for mothers day! I'd much rather something I want than something then times the price I don't need. They have all asked what I wanted and looked very annoyed with my request, lol!
Well enjoy your Saturday everyone and take care.

Hi all, quick check in for me, have been laid low with lurgy last few days, now feel better but no voice. DH delighted...lol!

Huge congrats to you Lilt, well deserved! And keep fighting Mothernerd, just got agreement of refund from SP for money they've owed me since I switched suppliers last September. Had to use ombudsman in the end, and still not counting chickens til I get the cheque! I feel your frustration, it's appalling how some companies treat their customers, hope you get it sorted soon.

SFD for me today, also managed one yesterday so will update sig in a mo.

  • Well I'm declaring today sfd no.7 i'm in work and am not stopping on the way home, and will definitely not be going out after I get home!

I would love a no spend week, but not even sure if this is possible?! Think I'll give it a go, starting today!

Ive also started healthy eating (again!) had a small jacket and left over grilled chicken breast with salad for lunch, in work. All brought from home obviously and followed by an apple.
Hope everyones having a lovely weekend x
Still here..... but working on that!

I am having an epic fail of a month. Having started off well for the first few days with having two SFDs in a row, I think nearly every day after that has been a spendy one.

Although the reasons behind each spend are genuine - too many to detail here - I feel deflated and guilty. I've just spent the afternoon helping the skids gets their mum something for Mother's Day tomorrow but trying to get anything decent that she would like, that doesn't cost an arm and both legs, is nearly impossible. :wall:

Anyway, I'm not looking forward to tomorrow a whole lot - it being the fifth anniversary of my first husband's suicide. I know DH has spent a lot of money on a bangle for me from the boys, which I will have to enjoy without worrying about the cost.

Today, however, I am grateful of DHs new job offer, of a friend competent at DIY and for the dusty bottle of wine found at the back of the dresser :D

Dizzy Imp sending you lots of cuddles. What a nightmare weekend for you really... Must be incredibly tough indeed. Sending you some of my strength.

I am overwhelmed - thank you all for your lovely wishes. It is still sinking in.

apple - the furniture wasn't as nice in the flesh, once I got inside the shop.. it wasn't as solid as it seemed and was very disappointing. Still I continue to look and there are no what-if's - for if it had sold before I went in, I would have been kicking myself at losing such a seeming bargain. Now they are welcome to it ;)

I might as well just plonk myself well and truly on the naughty step for the month. I have spent on clothes and I shall continue to do so. I reduced my overflowing wardrobe full of relics, down to a few meagre piles on one corner of my bed. A giant binliner has gone to the bin, and one.. yes ONE item, was worthy of the charity shop. Everything else was a battered, torn, dyed, stained, bobbled, dingy mess. And I am glad to be rid of it.

So far I have bought work clothes. 2 skirts, a pair of trousers, 3 white shirts, one teal shirt. But the list of things to buy is endless. So I declare myself officially naughty as sin. I haven't spent this much on clothing in one go... in my life. :rotfl:

Will come back later on with some figures. I haven't updated YNAb and have been paid some money I was owed. See you later guys xx

Hugs dizzy imp, what a tough time you've been through. Enjoy your bangle, you deserve a treat.

Enjoy your spending lilt, you deserve it and they aren't naughty spends!

Spend day on food shopping and petrol. Was productive this afternoon and have managed everything but changing the bed (might go and do it now!)

Decluttered the tops of the kitchen cupboards, a cupboard and a side. All now tidied into the one cupboard and necessary items returned to the garage, and a pile to the bin :)

And I was going to claim the naughty step for going to sbcks and buying some books for dd from ch shops!!! lilt - you can drape yourself over the whole staircase!

Today I am grateful for ch shop bargains, for dd mending a bit, for 2 enjoyable games of rugby, for roast chicken, for being able to laugh at ntwst who offered me an 'annual review' of my account some 30 years after I opened it. Wallies!!

apple.. are they planning on introducing charges to your account? The new rules mean they have to be seen to be doing something for it. I'd be wary of sudden service after so many years... :rotfl:

Am strugging to shake off my MSE ways and buy clothes. Baulking at a £74 basket which contains many items I love and would really like. My workwear shop came from a dedicated workwear supplier and most items were winter clearance :rotfl: and I got a 10% off code online. I really need to bite the bullet!
