    Evening all,

the only girl - hope your event goes well and you get time celebrate the new job

Today was a SFD number 10 and I think my proudest MSE moment so far. I went on a school trip, to a venue with lots of food to buy (including gf options), sat next to a caf! nearly all day, got home late and didn't have a takeaway or buy chocolate. Maybe I can change :)

Also means it was another LTW :) Was a productive day as did some walking around the venue to get to my steps goal, supervised the students and marked a load of test papers whilst they took part in the activities :)

Hope you are all enjoying Comic Relief :)

Spent £5.80 and 45 minutes printing off some of my correspondence and bills from my energy supplier - there is probably some still to do but satisfied with progress. Need to compose two more e-mails (they are trying to decide the matter has been resolved) and get everything in order for the Ombudsman and my MP.

I need back-up because although they have admitted they made the original error and apologised and offered me a whole £100 of my own money back they have done nothing to put the situation right by using the actual readings and giving me back the money they have taken.

I spent some time this morning doing calculations. My final reading was 6994 units. Went back through my list of readings they have been making up and found 6997 in April last year. This means that any money taken since then for gas usage (not the standing charge) is for gas I haven't used and should not have been charged for. However unambiguously I word it, they seem to have no intention of giving me back my money which they shouldn't have taken in the first place. So then went through all the bills picking out the amount for gas usage - need to total it and add on 5% vat which I have also been charged.

I really need that money and it's mine. They are just laughing at me.

Decluttering has recommenced. I dropped a cup last night and it smashed, had to leave the stairs light on all night as was too tired to put boots on and sweep it up. Decluttered some devices from my drawer - looked like USB sticks but DS3 has chucked some of them. He said they were 'adaptors' for putting info from tiny memory cards into the computer. Also established what was on the two that were USB sticks - all my old coursework plus quite a bit of DS3's stuff (all taken off the old computer before it died).

Very tired but then I wasn't sure I would be able to get to the library (checked the town Hall notices to see if the MP's surgery was this weekend) so have time to get everything in order for Monday. Need to put the photos of the meters on a stick and print off at the library.

Also spent money on coke (diet decaf) and chocolate which was a want not a need but better than slitting my wrists. Dropping the mug was a sign of how jagged I am feeling, very rarely break anything. Picked more books so willl try to relax and recover over the weekend. DS3 gave me a £10 note because I didn't know how much the photocopying would be and have spent £8.05 on a huge YS fresh leg of lamb which will be cooked and sliced this weekend and put away in the freezer for Easter. Probably the last joint I buy until around October when I will start to look out for Christmas bargains.

Today I am grateful for the library, for my bed and for DS3's help.

Wow fmess - I am tres impressed with you!! have had 1 SFD since last check in which takes me to 9 for the month so far. My spendy day however was asking a colleague to buy me many teabags on his shopping yesterday.. £5.50 for 500, not bad! And then discovering that Him had let the chicken go off in the fridge (just one bag from a large pack, split up and the rest frozen) as he hadn't cooked it when I asked him to. So last night I caved and bought a take away. £25.50 later  - but it covered tonights dinner, and there is still half a pizza left. :o

Had £2 back from mr A's. So free bread flour now that I have rebagged it.

Had my annual review today... and... got an 11.8% pay increase, and a big bonus. Am gobsmacked, and pleased, and very proud because they emphasised heavily how impressed they are and how grateful, and also that I was the only person getting a bonus :j - so after tax, it is enough to cover me to buy my wardrobeful of new clothes and hopefully a piece of furniture I want (solid wood). Feels a bit unreal. :D

Many hugs to turtles. Check ins more frequent again now. I have more time again! xx

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Lilt -that is simply amazing! Congratulations. I can't think of anyone who deserves some good fortune ( I won't say luck as it's the result of your diligence) more. Especially after the situation you described with your awful colleague. I'd be so tempted to let it slip to her...but of course you can't. Thinking of her face should she find out is delicious enough :))) enjoy!!

Mothernerd - I have to say it sounds like a when you get a judgement in your favour once the ombudsman gets involved, not an if. Although as I am now well into my 7th month of having a complaint with the ombudsman regarding the shocking handling of my business claim by my insurer, I can only hope your situation can be seen as simpler and more easy to rule on. I know you love your visualisation. Just keep thinking on how amazing it will feel when you get that money back. I do know how horrible it feels though when things take forever and you feel like your going to go mad.

Lilt how lovely for you. Well deserved payrise I bet.

Trying to get a Sfd today, yesterday train tickets bought for my London trip in May. Excited now.

Mothernerd wishing you good luck in the Utility battle. One of my friends was owed over £1000 and it took him 6 months to get the cash back, it was just simple overpayment.

Sorry give up typing with this tablet, its really not playing nicely.

    Afternoon all,

Having an unusual day so far. OH was supposed to work a short shift last night, finishing at midnight, instead of the usual daytime shift on Friday but he got home at 8.15 this morning after a crisis occurred and he couldn't leave. Didn't sleep great as kept expecting him home so got up at 6.30, went back to bed at 9 and just woke up again! Will need to have a productive afternoon now :rotfl:

About to go food shopping, then some kondoing and dog walking are required. I'm very tempted to put my clothes over my pjs but think I should act like a grown up and get dressed properly!
