Thanks lilt - but what would they charge me for? I never use the overdraft, don't have a credit card with them... Anyhow, should they choose to charge me for leaving my money with them, I shall flounce elsewhere!
Have yoy pressed the 'buy' button yet...?NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
DizzyImp hugs, must be incredibly hard time for you. Extra hugs. Bangle sounds really thoughtful.
Lilt Stop feeling guilty, clothes are essential spend. Looking smart helps you up the work ladder in some cases. With my bosses probably short skirts and tarty tops!!!
Managed to get a Sfd. Tomorrow need bit of food then will aim for 5 sfd in a row.

LOL. I bought some work clothes. Just basic stuff, but it was from a reputable workforce supplier so is quality (teflon coated :rotfl:) and didn't cost the earth as it was winter clearance in some cases and just basic sturdy shirts etc.
But as for the rest of it... My sister sent me off on a tangent to Joe Br0wns and now my wishlist is about £150. My sister wants to buy me something from it for my birthday next month. So I can't hit buy until she has decided what!
So all in all I spent £36.23 today.Theres a bit of time left yet.
Calling I wish clothes would get me up the ladder. I was fast tracking into a higher position but then I went on maternity leave and came back part time. Since then my job role has been changed and the promoted parts passed to a colleague. I don't really care. I get paid a ridiculous amount for what I currently do, and I walk out and forget about it each dayI can't ask for any more with a 3 year old

Just had my mummy day cards from Jelly & Him. Like a secret hunt :rotfl: - he is working the full day tomorrow so wanted to make sure I had them beforehand, so was directing me on Skype... to the wrong set of cards :rotfl: all fixed now. And they are beautiful and brought a tear to my eye

Woken to a lovely home made card from my son, the detail is fantastic. Down to my trademark stripey tops
he had put in it, I love my mummy because she buys me lollies & I love my mummy because she is kind. My husband and him have made bacon and eggs and we have most of the day together so can't ask for more.
I hope everyone has lovely days today.

Bob - what a wonderful start to the day!
Dd's coughing woke me at 5.53, so I've been out for a run! First one of the year, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially as I saw no-one so didn't have to try to tone down the huffing and puffing. Dd and dh are both STILL asleep so I shall get my own brekkie! Hm, g-f pancakes with caramelised nectarines. Am starting to dribble...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Thank you Bob. I also had raspberries and blueberries, and topped it all off with cream! It is now safely residing in my tum. Dd is sitting at my feet reading and dh is making another coffee. Bliss!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Good morning everyone! I apologise for my complete lack of checking in or participation lately - I'm firmly on the naughty step. I'm finishing up my professional qualification and with that and work, I just don't seem to have any spare time or energy - was at uni all day yesterday after being at work all week and now off to Twycross for the day for mother's day (which will admittedly be lovely). However, I got paid on friday and whilst I haven't done anything terrible money wise, and am still building up my savings, I realised that I'd gotten off track with my NSDs and really missed this challenge.
So, here's my re-commitment to checking in every day, and you all have my full permission to shout at me if I don't! Got my car mot'd on friday and thankfully it passed, so that was a big relief. Budgets for the rest of the month are below, done a big shop and batch cooked this weekend (thank goodness for slow cookers) and so hopefully have everything stocked up food wise.
Groceries till 15th April: /£72.99
Fuel until 15th April: /£80
Lunch to work: 0/17
Lunchtime walks at work: 0/17
NSDs: 0/10
Today will be a spendy day as off to Twycross for mother's day. Have a great day everyone, hope all the mums on this thread are thoroughly spoiled!Proud to be debt free September 2014. :j

Good morning.
Sorry in advance. I think I should start putting a warning at the beginning of every month... may not post when working as I keep reading and then falling asleep before I reply (literally after typing stuff out or changing my signature).
So... as I was working, I basically just come home and flake out, last night it was on the sofa. Not very MSE as the laptop, tv and lights were still on.
The good news is that flaking out = spend-free days. Anther two of them (one for friday, and one for saturday).
I am now up to EIGHT spend-free days!!!!!!!
:j
Our holiday pot got changed into euros by my parents yesterday. Not being counted as a spendy day as we haven't spent them yet. We now have almost 500 euros which should pay for everything whilst we are in Rome.
I get such an amazing feeling whenever I think of this holiday. I always get excited about travelling but this one is just more of a smug excitement which sounds really stupid but I think it is because we have saved and paid for it without going into debt. It's a really great feeling.
My non-money-related news is that, apart from the fajita disaster on Monday, I have been really good with my diet and have lost another THREE pounds this week. Bringing my total to 5lbs!!!!!!
Now, I am trying to remember but if I miss something I'm sorry. Even with a duplicate page open, I still miss news.
* mothernerd - I am so sorry to hear how nasty that company is being to you. I hope you can get it resolved soon-ish and get all your money back so you can leave. It is crazy that they have over-charged you so much and yet don't believe they should pay it back.
* only girl - in case I missed it, congratulations on your "new" job.
* lilty - huge congratulations on the pay raise. I hope you use it to spoil both jellytot and yourself as you deserve it. Would it be enough to go on holiday with your friend?? (I'm sure it was you who spoke about it before??).
* dizzyimp - sending you lots of hugs today and hope you get it through it okay.
Hope I covered everything, if not then I'm sorry.
Keep march-ing on turtleys.
