  • Hope you are feeling better SW. It’s worth claiming the tax rebate. I can’t claim after last year as it’s now my choice to partly work from home but I did claim last year & got £62 back.

Hurrah payday tomorrow and £ has arrived from the govt towards bills via my local council. ~At present I have enough to pay off next month's credit card bill but little in my short term savings. The plan is to try to raise this by cutting back on spending this month as i have been treating myself.

Aside from food, travel and a few days out, do you need much else or is it still cheering up spends?

Great news about the 'bonus' coming through. I'm not sure which way works better, yours as hard cash or mine off the CT bill. They both have good and bad sides.

  • Glad you got the £150 from council. Have a lovely bh weekend. Good luck with the cutting back.

Well done on the extra overpayment SW. You deserve a treat and if you have the budget for the necklace then why not use part of your fun budget. We have to still have a life whilst saving.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend

It has been ages, work has been madness as usual, covid has really changed the demographic i work with,  and some are really rude as they did not get trained in manners. One lazy ratbag is causing real hassle and I'm biting my tongue at work at the  moment as they are being ridiculous. .

Luckily it is payday, we have just been paid, i use the 'Royal We' as i am rich today as no direct debits have gone out yet. £1150 towards mortgage and savings. I have just treated myself to a cute cardigan for £23. We just got to keep going and stay strong.

I will catch up but maybe not for a few weeks i hope you are all well..
