  • Sorry to hear about your fence SW. Hope it can just be repaired and you don’t need to buy new panels as they are not cheap.
Chicken soup sounds lovely, I had curried parsnip soup yesterday 😋 Not quite a Chinese though is it 😆 Perhaps if you still have £50 left by payday you could treat yourself ☺️

I did and treated myself to a chinese  last night £5.50. Yum. The washing machine broke last night and it was repaired for £50 which is a lot cheaper than a new machine! It allowed me to tidy under the sink and already the house is clean and there is washing drying nicely on the line. After payday I have £200 for food and fun this month, allowing if possible £100 to be put in my emergency account for the raised bills. Off to sleep then I will do some work.

I worked all weekend but brain is starting to shut down so i am taking it easy this week. Food shop tonight till weekend from Ald* it cost £18 and i just cannot believe how much cheaper it is than anywhere else. There are no frills at all but it'll do whilst i combatting rising utility bills. I wonder how long it will be till the rising gas and electric prices will cause rising prices in everyday products. I hope this isn't like the OPEC price rise of 1973. I always think the worst.

As you can cook from scratch, you'll adapt your meals to what's available and within budget, almost like seasonal produce.

Happy holidays! I'm looking forward to the bank holiday :)

I painted my back gate recently and it took way longer than I expected even with two of us, definitely spread it out.
