  • Hi Savingwannabe. I’ve recently read your diary from start to finish. It took a while but I’ve really enjoyed it 😊. Just wanted to come on and say hi as I think we are practically neighbours. I live in Cosham and work in QA  I totally get your struggle with just one income and a mortgage to pay. You’re doing great. I’m trying to pay my mortgage off a bit quicker as well but it is hard on your own. I’m sure we’ll get there!! Xx
slowly working towards being MF one small over payment at a time :T

OMG southern chick we are neighbours!!!! Hurrah for the QA, they are wonderful.  I am about 5 miles away.

I visited Andy in the New Forest at the weekend with another friend and spent a lot £130. We went for a lovely walk in Keyhaven which i had never been to before!!!!! The plan is to not spend much now for the rest of the month as i will just be working. I am still marking in the garden and slowly getting there, the weather is lovely and it doesn't feel like work as i am outside.

I just extended my broadband and internet contract it will be £44 a month now i think. I have bought one pair of shoes, a blouse and will be getting another pair of trainers tonight i hope. My cc bill is £250 for this month, and £250 for next month. I have the money put aside for it.
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022
  • Glad you had a lovely time with friends SW 🤗 If you have the money put aside that’s great, you are not getting into debt and you work hard for your money.

I have paid for next months bus pass and i have £80 left after final direct debits go out in a couple of days. Haircut tomorrow and the cost is rising to £20. We are not sure but we might be getting a tiny pay rise at work.

  • Good luck with the pay rise🤞£80 left until the end of the month is a good amount if all bills, food & travel are covered

I had haircut today cost has risen to £20, also i paid for garden bin collection cost has risen to £74. I filled in a form to claim last year's working from home allowance. I know i claimed something last year but am not sure if it was for last year or the year before. According to the website i hadn't claimed last year's and every little helps. I have been ill today so after haircut i spent the day in bed. I am starting to feel a bit better now.

No lessons written for next week, all i have done is 5 hours of marking almost every day.

Still a good price for a haircut.
The WAH refund does help, spend a bit and save the rest for a rainy day.
