Good suggestion MF but I am not sure if i will keep it. Work is a bit bonkers at the mo so i am not on here as much.I was paid my usual amount and have saved the usual £250 and an extra £150. This month's credit card is paid off and i have also put aside cc bill for next month too. I still have £200 left over for food and fun.
I will not buy anything except food and bus passes for the rest of the month I hope.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
If you don't want to keep it, offer it up for sale as a gardener will snap it up.
Hope work settles soon and you're getting fed, water and rest.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Work is busy but i am ok. I cannot believe how many posts i have missed. I think i will have a lot of reading to do when i do get free time. So far this month i have paid for fence panels and for a man to sort a minor bathroom thing (£70 in total), other than that i am only buying food and paying for transport. Thank goodness for council tax free months as my British Gas tariff has ended and i am not sure if i should transfer elsewhere, I cannot imagine that the ordinary tariff is cheap at all and it will be eating into my Christmas Fund.
Does anyone know what the advice is now about gas providers if you have reached the end of your tariff offer?Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
You'll need to see what their standard rate is, how much it will cost and compare that to a fixed rate.
For me it's still loads cheaper to stay on the variable rate. Today they say it's £1089 for the year, compared to £2220 if I take a fix. Not many suppliers are taking people on and there's no real cheap fixes around at the moment.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -

Thank you so much ladies, I will investigate further when work calms down. It is slightly manic at the moment. What is great is that i am barely spending any money other than on food and travel. Easter hols in two weeks and one week till payday. Hurrah.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

Payday in 3 working days. I cannot wait. I can pay off my £316 credit card bill due in April. I am paying off the extra money £302 i owe Br*tish G@s towards the bills until November as i don't want to be charged at the new rate from April. This being minimal malarkey has helped as i tried to be good this month and only bought necessities. I am so tempted to order a chinese but will be good. There is frozen haddock in the freezer which i must use up. Shopping at Aldi has really helped to keep my food costs down. I am so sorry i am not on here much now, work is simply bonkers at the moment. We have been asked to do something and everyone has put their foot down and insisted on a longer deadline as otherwise we will be ill in Easter.
Mum and dad did my garden last weekend whilst i marked so i am enjoying the bright weather and will be marking in the garden all day. I've put one load of washing on the line already. I am having a break as marking is soooo boring. Only 18 essays and 4 exam papers to go for today.
The fence at the back of the garden blew down, mum and dad noticed as i dont walk to the back of the garden in the winter and it is covered by trees. I will have to get quotes to rebuild it.
Did i say that I really fancy a chinese? Sob. I have pulled myself together and had chicken soup with bread and some chicken nugget things too. Sun is glorious warm but not too hot. The plan is to only buy bread and ham till payday and bus ticket which has gone up in price. I will have £50 left over after cc is paid.Aiming for a minimal spend 20221 -
Can you get some frozen Chinese meals for those days you must have some?
You're doing well knuckling down and keeping on top of work.
Make the most of the bright sunny days by popping outside with a drink, give your brain a rest from marking, writing and thinking.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1
