Well done for paying most of it off, it's one less thing to concern yourself with.

Steve may well be looking out for both of you, bringing comfort during this difficult time.

Roll on payday, new budget month and another fresh start.

Wait until you're given all the information, especially as you've been told your job's safe, then it may make sense.

Then dust off your CV, update it, start looking to see what's around and be prepared for whatever your employer decides.

Payday on a Friday always feels so much better.

Hello the funeral went really well, it was a real celebration of his life and i was honoured to be there. I feel he is still with me and we will make him proud, his motto was to never give up and to just get on with it and look at the bright side of life. I am. I am spending next weekend sorting out cv and looking for jobs.

Sounds like a lovely send off SW. We all need a Steve in our lives, someone positive and supportive who keeps us going. That’s a great legacy he leaves behind.

Hope you can find a new job. Everything crossed for you 🤞

May is another month, A and I are seeing it as a reset on our lives. I actually feel really empowered and positive. A went to work and they seemed to be nice, so far so good. I will make a real effort to visit and check he is ok.

I have a big pile of marking to do today and I am going to do that and chill for the next two days. The garden looks lovely - albeit weedy (!!!!!!)  post rain.

After Steve's illness and covid year, I am going to try to eat healthily and also to walk a bit more and not take work so seriously. I did spend quite a bit of money over the weekend and will count up my receipts etc to see how much spending money i have for this month later.

I will still save £250 and aim to have the money for next month's credit card early - I will see if i can later.
