I have borrowed £60 from my savings to gather money together for my May credit card bill. Also from the savings & retirement fund i gave a gift of £500 to my dear friends. Funeral costs will be fine as that was prepared for but i dont want him to go without as he has looked after him for years in earlier illnesses. Thank you MSE for allowing me to save it has been useful.

I have made food for work tomorrow. Now I need to sew hem on new trousers. 8 working days till payday. I cannot wait to know i have paid my cards off and can start to save towards my emergency fund again i hope.

Feeling quite tired today after work but i did mow just under half of my garden. It should be dry for a few more days so i hope i can do a bit more later in the week. If i can just do 15 mins eveyrr day i will destress and also have a nice garden.

Tomorrow, I am being naughty and spending £5 on books from marketplace as a treat for train journeys when i go to the boys house. Payday in 7 days, I have £60 in my account if i minimise spending as have plenty of food i would like to use some of it on my credit card bill rather than cheat and use savings.

Have you set yourself a small amount of pocket money for random little treats?
Guilt free purchases of anything from a pair of socks to books or a plant, a little mood lifter.

It's great you've got so much money left.

Do take gardening slowly, a little bit at a time gives you space to unwind while taking it out on weeds 😃

MF yes i do usually but i have spent them on treats for Steve as i wanted to make him happy. I will still buy the books as they are a bargain.
Today is my day off and there is a big list of bits to do i hope i can do some of it but will try one bit at a time - marking, medical appointment, pharmacy visit, covid test, gardening.

The sun is shining. I sat on my swing yesterday for a few minutes and it was lovely.

Bless you Skinty she has changed the day so books are coming tomorrow. I am v excited.

    5 working days till payday.

I heard quite a disturbing thing today from someone who I dont think would lie that my job might disappear. I will get them to clarify with a phonecall.  Noone has actually been told at my level but something is going on high up. I better do a CV in the next few weekends.
