Its hard with the way we are having to live to try and not buy things. We are all struggling and rightly deserve a treat instead of living a life however we are mostly paying the same bills and shopping for normal stuff so maybe allow yourself a tiny treat for a while - a bag of sweets or a cake rather than expensive stuff xx  I have had to stop doing the same and to be honest its not bothering me because seeing my savings rise at the moment means can have a really big treat eventually.

I couldnt do much today I was a bit unwell as forgot to do 2 blood tests as couldnt get  a colleague off the phone. I lost much of the day trying to put it right. I will be more assertive in future. I will catch up on work tomorrow. I am ok now. This month has gone by v fast and we will be paid in less than two weeks, so excited to pay off my card and save more in my xmas fund.

  • Just make an excuse up to get someone off the phone next time, you've got to look after yourself.

  • Trying to get someone off the phone is a perfect time to use little white lies 'dinner is ready, someone's at the door' etc if feeling  uncomfortable or rude telling someone you need to end the call! I'm terrible for taking medication etc on time but found a free app on my phone called MyTherapy, allows you to set reminders and alarms (for instance if I have to take the same medication twice a day I can set two reminders for it) and check off each dose. Worth a look if you have ios/android, it's done wonders for me :)

And can totally relate on spending on things I don't actually need, really wanted to buy some foundation but instead took the time to go check my current makeup and realised I already have 5 different kinds and it helped me say no

My plan is to top it up  to £200 on payday next week. (Only 7 working days to go!!!). I still have £48 to my name but will need to buy fruit at the weekend.

  • £65 is a great start for Christmas.

That's quite a bit of money to last a week, it will buy plenty of fruit and veg.
