*gentle hugs* sorry yesterday was a bad one, hope today is much brighter for you. eBay can be frustrating, but stick with it - you'll be surprised what sells and everything helps
I normally just start everything at 99p to avoid some of the fees and get people bidding, but it really depends what you're selling xx

I've sat and caught up with your diary, and if it's ok with you I'm just going to sidle over for a hug.
I know you don't always feel it, but to me (and many others I'm sure), you really are the most amazing person. Your strength, even on days when life is throwing rotten fruit at you, just astounds me. And I was thinking all that before your dogs decided money was edible. Not by any means the only one:D
Well yesterday was a really bad one and started when I woke up just made my head spin
So hear is how it went
I over slept
I came down stairs to find the purse with the money in from changing coins was on the floor open and a £20 note was chomped on buy a dog can't find some bits and NO way will I try to find it with six dogs
I realise the money I spent on jeans from my allowance was not spare money but was supposed to be for my hair next week - hubby says I can have his allowance
Had a letter from son to say a mate who was sending money into prison Has now stopped and still owes him over four grand
Then my lap top dies on me and I can't afford a new one
Somthevstressedvequalled a few tears of frustration it's like I take a couple of steps forward and about ten back
So today I am off to sort all my belts the good ones I don't want will be ebayed as will really good clothes not done it before but we all have to start somewhere
So any tips gratefully received
Off to do sorting
I have such sympathy with this entire post. I accidentally spent part of the rent last month. I've never done anything so stupid in my life - I'm definitely a bit flaky at times, but spending the rent money?! Thankfully I was able to earn it back before the rent was officially due (I pay it a fortnight early), but it really shook me.
On an aside, do you mind if I mention something I've noticed about your son's communication with you? *shuffles feet awkwardly* It seems like he's telling you an awful lot of stories about people owing him money and no longer sending it to him in prison. And it all started around the time you made it clear to him that you weren't going into debt for him etc. I just wanted to say that you've been amazing standing up to him while still being supportive of him, so please don't let his tales of woe wear you down. *hugs*
As for your two steps forward and ten back - sure. I mean, that's life, right? But at least you're going those two steps forward now - under your own steam, and in fluffy socks, nice knickers and a posh bra! :rotfl:
Ebay is really simple provided you remember to treat people how you'd like to be treated - and take into account the seller fees involved (otherwise you'll have spent your money by the time the bill comes in!).

^ What she said. Plus 'nother hug and cake.
I'm not impressed with your son's story either - he should be bl**dy cross about still being owed money and getting onto the guy not moaning to you! (and besides, who has four grand to lend to people who won't give it back?)
I've just got my copy of Kondo yesterday so will be reading it this evening.
And Nora's also right about Ebay - I've sold about 8 things and already had one who wouldn't pay and one who complained about something that was made completely clear in the TITLE... but both have been very easily sorted and Ebay's processes seem very fair. (When the non-payer didn't respond to several messages and phone calls I recorded it as an unpaid item case, and I sent the silly complainer a very polite message saying 'I'm not quite sure what you wish me to do, this was the title and description given, please get back to me' and she hasn't - probably because she knows if it's referred to Ebay they will obviously agree with me!).

Thanks ladies the hugs are so welcome
I do find that you both seem to read my son the same as you do
On a good note though I managed to read his letter without someone else reading it first an telling which bits I want to or should read
I think I have come to terms with he has done I don't like it and I don't understand why and I doubt he ever will

Well done for decluttering and laundry - and if Ebay has to wait then I'd say just enjoy the break.
Hope vets goes OK
