Hi Aaleigha  I've found you.
I've just had a read through and am in awe at what you have to put up with. You've been doing amazingly, and well done for standing up to your son"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
so far today I have
cleared a space for the hanging rail to go
made a bread pudding with left over bread I have been freezing
Kondoed a few rashers of bacon for lunch
did washing with just washing balls - kinder to the environment and my skin
cleaned the bathroom
checked all my survey sites and done a few more pennies in the pot
taken all the change we have laying around and in pots etc and started bagging it £50 so far - need to cash that in
cooking dinner now
for tonight I hope to separate the ebay charity and my hanging clothes before I go to bed
am I pleased with what I have done today YES could I have done more YES - but every little is a step in the right direction
That's a huge list of stuff you've done today!
Don't know about you, but I've really enjoyed reporting what I've actually done, rather than what I plan to do... in fact, if you'll excuse me, I have a list to update! *dashes back to her own diary*

Oh yes its been great will be going up towards bed very soon and pop the stuff on the rail some in wardrobe and rest in charity bag before bed
I have to make a list for tomorrow - I need to have something to work with if I think I will just wing it - not a lot gets done
HAVE to go to post office tomorrow to post son some stamps - and will ask at PO if they will give me notes for some of the bagged coins I have
I have just redone the bank balance - do to a few unforeseen items we wont go in the red but we wont have as much left as I hoped for
unexpected things are puppy teeth over 200 daughters new vacuum 100
and a couple of other amounts I think we will be down to about three hundred left and not the 8 I was hoping for BUT its more than we had left at the end of the month of january so I should be happy
espeically with my bipolar out of control spending this month - all now safely sortedEmergency fund £10,000

So I did complete last nights task
now a dilemma - I am a paper and pencil type of girl - so
as I am going to the post office and local shop today to post some stamps to my son (have to send signed for) and get some milk - it will not be a no spend day
Do I get post it notes so I can make my to do lists a couple on each
or do I just make one lists
the cons for postit notes is they will be a spend (do I need to spend the money) the pros are it will help me to focus if I write them down and I can throw away each one as it is done giving me a sense of achievement and the motivation to keep going even on the bad days also as I have to spend money today it will I hope lead to a no spend day tomorrow
the cons of doing one list - if I dont do it all I will get very deflated and lose the plot rather
pros I have paper so I wont have to spend money
today I was out of bed and down stairs before nine (yesterday it was nearly mid day
so on my list today are
at the post office
-get notes for some of the counted change - put into pink purse for holiday spendsDONE
-post stamps to sonDONE
at home
check menus for cook ahead items and treat accordingly DONE
-sort belts to put in charity shop bagDONE
-take out top shelf of airing cupboard DONE
-roll towels and stack rolledDONE
-other bits put on next shelf down and deal with on another dayDONE
-sort out one basket of laundry DONE
wash like coloured items at least ONE loadDONE
Hang on lineDONE but its back in and was only out 5mins before the rain started
I MUXT be the master or mistress of procrastination but I might iron a bit before bed but will DEFINITELY do it before coming donw stairs tomorrow and bring the clothes down to be photoed
from ebay items
-iron five (just the first five off the rack)
-measure and pin that to inside of item
-photo them (need to sort software for camera after the back to factory settings
=fill in ebay forms for three of the items ready to put on ebay at 7pmish friday evening
on the net
-check pc lottery DONE
-do polls (if any)DONE
-sort emails including junk folderDONE
-visit diaries (to be supportive but I am also nosey)DONE will check again this evening when I update this for the evening
I think SLEEP should be next but instead to relax
I will do half hour of crochet - yes I am a hooker
and half hour of adult mindfulness colouring DONE
now that is a HUGE target list for me so I will see how I goEmergency fund £10,000

LOOK at everything I did achieve I am very very pleased with this
I know I did not get to do the ebay stuff BUT I did do so much else and I feel I have to procrastinate over something or I wont be me
its all to do with the stress levels and I did set myself very high goals
on top of the list
I have heard from my son and this time he asked for NOTHING
I have been given a list of people he wanted me to facebook (they all got in touch with me first via facebook) and ask them to write - so ME being ME asked them all to write and to include a stamped addressed envelope - or you know who would be supplying the stamps
so I did do all of that 12 people to find and pm as his page has been taken down - good job I was very cagey with what I said or the police might have frozen mine too
so that was my little bit of excitement today
a trip out to the post office - but I DID get out of the house and you just dont know how hard it is for me to do
I think that deserves chocolate
will make a list tomorrow but will give myself a shorter list and will list in order of importance and try to work my way down the list
hope you have all had a great day
I cooked curry for DH and all the veggie scraps and bones skin etc went into the green cone to be digested = too cold to top up the compost heap as the worms are still sleepingEmergency fund £10,000

I feel I have to procrastinate over something or I wont be me
 somebody else does this? :T :rotfl:I have heard from my son and this time he asked for NOTHING
that's nice to hear - maybe he's beginning to think differentlyI have been given a list of people he wanted me to facebook (they all got in touch with me first via facebook) and ask them to write - so ME being ME asked them all to write and to include a stamped addressed envelope - or you know who would be supplying the stamps

All very sensibleI think that deserves chocolate
So do I but you may have noticed I'm biased

Rosa did you volunteer for all the 'jobs' around school so you didnt have to start your work and when you did you were the one who had the pencil that kept breaking :rotfl:
as for the chocolate I had twirls - I have had some in the fridge for the last 6 weeks - that is really good for me

so how did I improve my ironing skills - having been taught at 8 how to iron so I have been ironing for longer than most of you have been on the planet
- get up as soon as hubby leaves the house 6.45
- find ironing board
- learn how to put ironing board up - it is a new one that was bought to use when I do patchwork - it is smaller than the other one and I have never set it up DH did that for me
- plug in iron and set it for the hotest item
- find spray starch
- take 10 (yes ten) items from the rail and put on hanging over door rack
- Chase small dog out of the bedroom that has become the hoarders paradise
- check iron temp
- now starting with the item that needs the hotest iron iron and brush with hand whilst hot to ensure item lays flat
- move through the ironing from hottest to coldest
- turn the iron off with two items to go (saves a bit of electricity)
- oh and hang each thing back on the door hanging rack
DID I ENJOY THE IRONING - of course not
come down stairs and cook chocolate porridge and have with a banana
I was going to measure stuff as I went BUT I cant find the iron
so todays list
- Hang yesterdays washing back on the line
- find tape measure or use DH retractable steel rule
- pin each set of measurements onto the item
- a chance to procastinate here - do I list on the computer so I can add item number in what I start the item at what its selling price is etc
- take dummy and items to garden
- start to take photos having a white and black and turquoise vest top and a few bits of jewellry with me to the garden - I hope these items will help to show the clothing at its best
- down load and crop photos
- write up the listings and save for putting on Friday evening
- end of ebaying
- put gammon in slow cooker when I have a break for lunch
- sit down and and cheer myself on for the tasks I do complete
- do not beat myself up for those things I did not accomplish just move them to tomorrow
today I am having a pj day I really dont feel up to putting on clothes
I have had my medication but I feel so low I just want to go back to bed - but I wont I will plod through the day slowly and look after myself - afterall I have never done ebay before so it wont be the end of the world if it does not get done today either
right off to have a browse round the site now it is back to colours my brain can cope withEmergency fund £10,000

Loving the listing of taking time out to psych yourself up and for not beating yourself up for things that can be done another day. Genius!
And yay for today being a pj day! I was debating one myself, but then I realised I had to do public-facing work later and I don't think my pink flowery pjs would give the right impression!:D
Have a good un.

Wow - you've been so productive recently I really feel you're putting me to shame! Hope fully reading your diary will give me a boot up the proverbial and do some stuff rather than just thinking about all the stuff I need/want to do!
Yes - do take time to look after yourself, eBay will still be there tomorrow!
Oh and re stamps - I read Martin's email this morning which said they were going up in price in case you wanted to stock up with a few more if they're something you use often.Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,435.00
