Can I lose 1 stone in 2 months?

If you're quite overweight it's relatively easy to lose a stone in 2 months. But 2lb a week is quite a lot to lose if you aren't that overweight. If you're already in the healthy weight range you have fewer calories to play with anyway and have to go to extremes diet wise to meet this target.
I'd say why not decide to make a change in your lifestyle rather than deciding how much weight you want to lose in what time frame.
I'd like to lose about a stone as well but I'm ok with it taking however long it takes - I know as long as I eat healthily and get enough exercise it'll happen eventually.0 -
Reduce sugar (in any form, even fruit) and carbs (pasta, bread, rice, potatoes) for one month and you'll see results.0

Is it possible (without taking drugs!) to do it?
Yes it is possible to lose a stone in 2 months, but as someone said earlier.......belfastgirl23 wrote: »If you're quite overweight it's relatively easy to lose a stone in 2 months. So I think trying to lose a stone from a weight that is already good and healthy for your height, may be tricky. I am 5 ft 7 and 10 stone, and I am a perfect size and shape IMO. Sounds arrogant I know LOL, but I am extremely happy with my weight and body shape and figure. I think weighing 9 stone at 5 foot 6 to 5 ft 7 sounds a bit low, and you could run the risk of being a bit underweight.I don't think that's particularly heavy for your height tbh, it's slap bang in the healthy region I think? If it's your body you're unhappy with Id exercise to sort it. Again I have no idea what you look like though and it's a personal thing x

For sure it's different for everyone. You probably look great, it can vary loads from person to person. I just want the same as loads of people, to go swimming and not feel embarrassed!
It's not about the weight I guess, I'd just like to be thinner.0 -

Thanks, so just veg for tea? Or smaller portions of say rice and pasta?0 -
I am your height and have been losing weight; I'm now down to 9 stone 5 and have been told by a doctor not to lose any more or I will become medically underweight. The temptation to keep going is there though so I totally understand that you may not be happy with your body shape and want to take some weight off.
Apologies if I missed this earlier, but what exercise do you do? I found when I started running a few years ago, I only lost a couple of pounds, but my body shape changed much more dramatically than that - I was sure I had lost much more because I really was slimmer (other people were commenting on it etc.). Google the Couch to 5k programme if you want to start running.0 -

Awww, I bet you look fine.
I wonder if (as several people have said,) you may benefit from some exercise/toning up etc. I have a friend who is 9 stone 3 and 5 ft 4 and she is so slim, but she says she has flabby bits. She really does not, but she is just not super 'toned.' Maybe that is you?(•_•)

I suggest throwing a strop and comfort eating.0

Thank you! I will check it out. During the winter, really not huge amounts - swimming and walking, I've tried running but I really struggled with it but will have another go!Awww, I bet you look fine.

Yeah maybe it is, it's def 'toned' I'm after, as opposed to being a certain weight (despite my earlier posts!) it's really my tummy and arms I dislike the most, they just look a but flabby. Thanks everyone!0 -

The "perfect" size and shape is pretty subjective.
My wife is an inch shorter than you and nearly two stone lighter. I would say that she is the perfect size and shape. Secretly I think that she would agree, although I doubt she would ever say it herself.0
