Can I lose 1 stone in 2 months?

I have never tried this ..But am pretty convinced if you don't mind the discomfort of the process ..Something like Rabbit Starvation would be a pretty sure fire way of getting rid of fat.
Please dont cut out veg, especially green leafy veg - I was following a diet plan which advised restriction of certain veg and I ended up anaemic. Eating only one form of protein with no other nutrients leads to malnutrition.
It is simple really ..cut out carbs and fats ..and eat really lean meats ..something like rabbit or chicken breast .
You also need *some* (not lots of) unsaturated fats from sources like fish, vegetable oils (such as olive oil) and nuts and seeds.
Trying to cut out both carbs and fats is a recipe for disaster, if anyone could even keep it up long term.0 -
Adding a silly laughing emoticon doesn't indicate the scientific validity of a post. As always with this type of debate, it soon descends into faddy nonsensical "dont eat this but eat that" or "you need to do this type of exercise not that" mode.
People can try to follow all this contradictory guidance, or they can follow the one simple thing proven to work - calorie restriction
As someone said a few posts ago all calories aren't equal. If calorie restriction works so well why are so many people yo yo dieters.0 -

Is it possible (without taking drugs!) to do it?
Not recommended but I lost 2 stones in 4 days thanks to a Dehli belly I picked up in Bangalore, not pleasant with explosions at both ends but a very effective method.0 -
Fat isnt actually bad for us, trans fats are nasty but that aside theres no reason to cut out other fats if you want to lose weight.
As for the cutting out carbs, even on a paleo diet theres carbs in the form of fruit, veg and food like sweet potato or brown rice.
Eat healthily, but find out what healthy actually is, control your portion sizes and exercise. We also dont need to eat at 9am, midday and so on. Of course food times go with work and lifestyle times but eating when you are hungry as opposed to bored is a good start.
If people are sensible they will ditch the quick fixes and follow an eating plan for life0 -

You lost 28 pounds in 48 hours?!:eek::eek:
Is that a typo?
Or did your entire insides fall out?(•_•)

I am your height but weigh over 10 stone. I know, from experience, that when I drop to around 9 stone 7, I start looking gaunt and my family start making concerned noises! I am not unhappy with my weight, but am unhappy about my fitness! Eat well and do the right exercises to tone up, bearing in mind you may end up heavier if you put on muscle. A friend of mine is shorter and weighs a stone more but looks fantastic because she's fit. She has less body fat than I have and more muscle. Sometimes focusing on weight obscures other factors, especially for those of us who are, to all intents and purposes, a 'healthy' weight.0

Nope not a typo, and yes thats a pretty accurate description. For those 4 days the world exploded at both ends. It was horrific  I remember calling reception at the hotel for more loo rolls every couple of hours, the second day the Dr came and injected me with something.0 -

Ewwww, sounds horrific!Good way to lose weight fast, but it's a wonder it hadn't killed you! I think if it had been an elderly person or a young child, that would have finished them off!

Easily. I broke my ankle and stopped training and piled on 70lbs over the course of a couple of years.
I started training and eating right, nothing faddy....it was gone in 9 months.0 -

Because they carry on overeating afterwards, same applies to the vast array of faddy diets. Bigger body requires more calories to survive, slimmer body requires fewerDon't you dare criticise what you cannot understand0
