Thank you for the birthday wishes. Yesterday, we spent the night in a posh hotel and had dinner. Today, we got up, had breakfast, went to a posh deli to get a gift for the inlaws as they looked after dumbass dog, got the train home. And when we got in, we tackled the mess in the sitting room - it looked rather like we'd been robbed. I've been very hard today and thrown out stuff I'd normally have held onto and we've thrown out 4 bags of rubbish just from the one room.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

I am so glad you had a good birthday, code. Well done on the throwing things out, I know how hard it is. Have a blanket.
There is a man on a ladder right outside the living room window doing something involving sanding. I am directly in his eye line. I am just going to sit here very still and not move a muscle and pretend this isn't happening. If I make it through today without a meltdown it will be a minor miracle.

They are some lovely looking blankets - wish mine were that pretty!
Sounds like a great birthday code. I LOVE hotel breakfastWell done on the sorting - isn't it liberating?!
Have got hold of the forms to change my pension/work life assurance etc (so any payouts go to my dad, not OH). Now got to find policy numbers but hey... it's a start.0 -
Gosh, everyone seems to be making progress today - well done all, and hang on in there, WaS!
I love that Norm has his own blanket, too.....Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Phew, that's one room down, but I do still have to tackle the codemonkey cupboard of doom. That's not for today though.
How are you doing WaS? I remember years ago, when I still lived at home, we had a windowcleaner and whenever he did my bedroom window, I'd shut the curtains and sit very still and feel uncomfortable. I can never truly rest whenever a tradesman is in - not really sure what I'm meant to do. Am I supposed to make conversation, or stay out of their way or what? I usually pull up a complicated script on my laptop so it looks like I'm working.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
OH is a tradesman, and spends most of his working day in other people's homes. He used to come home with some v funny stories. My personal favourite was 'old man porn'. He played incredibly loud !!!!!! films pretty much all day, not in the slightest bit embarrassed about there being other people in the house :rotfl:. He never behaved er.... inappropriately, he must have just liked the background noise! OH and his mate he works with said he was always lovely - said hello, made them tea, etc. He just had this v loud !!!!!! on in the background! :rotfl:0

Feeling super grouchy just now and DH is insisting on watching wrestling, which is loud and hyper and getting on my last nerve.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Move to another room? Be thankful he isn't old man !!!!!!?
(Do you have your own telly or the ability to distract yourself with something different on laptop? I must admit that Mr JM's telly choices aren't always mine - loads of engineering etc. - and he likes my company while he watches them. I play on the puppy which has jumped on to my lap again (otherwise known as computer) and then he gets annoyed when I don't know what he's talking about when he refers to something on the telly!)Ex board guide.
