Or if it helps, just say you are unwell and retreat to bed!
(Duvets beat blankets* any day of the week, in my experience.)

In the fort...soooo sleepy!
You're doing well, WaS! I'm with JM - claim headache or nap then you can hide away if you need to

Is this specifically for WaS, or can we all do this today?0 -
It's all gone quiet for coffee break! They are all outside drinking from plastic cups now. The window people seem to be working in the flats next door first so that probably won't happen until this afternoon, the door people will be back at some stage. As soon as WaSp gets back I am retreating to the bedroom until the window people get here, when they do I may hide in the bathroom.
The new landlord is rather proactive!
We can all retreat to bed, tea! I am declaring this an official bed day!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I checked online last night to see if a local adult education course (basic sewing and crafts) starting 26th Feb was open.
It was. There was one space available.
I got there this morning, the receptionist checked and the course is closed.
I'm more  at myself thanabout the course for leaving it so late.
I've got a few bits to do and then I'm off to bed for a short nap. Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:0 -
Please  no talk about beds & sleep
This is from a sleep deprived utterly shattered miserable old git :rotfl:What came first, the music or the misery?
Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?0 -

What a manic morning/day/week people are having! Has something blown in with the weather front?
Am smiling at the thought of you WaS, under ever increasing layers of blankets!
Perhaps you could measure stressful situations in terms of the number of layers of blankets needed to cope........ The WaS Blanket Barometer!
I would say that Sunday and Monday for me were 4 layers of blankets days. Today is probably down to one layer. My email won't get a reply until next week as the person concerned is on holiday. Damn.
I dread to think what might merit 7layers of blankets!(I just lurve spiders!)

Current total- 3 blankets and a snuggie! WaSp needs to go to the garage because apparently the car needs welding, sounds slightly ominous. So I am alone again waiting for more people to turn up. This might be a 5 blanket situation! (Yes, I am boiling hot and sweating heaps but I'm not coming out!).Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
