Right, I need some happy thoughts to take me off to bed.

Days getting longer, so I am no longer walking Gitdog in the dark, and spring is getting ready to sprung. I am going to dream about holidays, sun and warmth. And contemplate my snowdrops which are one of my favourite flowers.

Edit - thanks for sharing all your thoughts, Was. As generous as ever.:)

  • I'm at work.

    Today I

    Got up and dressed

ripped a collection of New Age/Relaxation CDs and the CD I bought at the concert the other night

Charged both my mp3 players - added the relaxation tracks to one that I listen to around the house and put the new concert CD on my 'leave the house' one.

Verified my bank details with music magpie so I can get paid.

Shredded about a ream of confidential waste - my recycling bin is half full!!

I had tea at about 13:00

Got ready for bed and napped 'til about 19:00.
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...
  • Today i shall be mostly sleep deprived & wallowing in self-pity
What came first, the music or the misery?
Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?

Can I join in? Today I shall be mostly trying to clean frantically for the window fitter and door checker who could arrive any time now whilst battling a Cluster Headache which has kept me awake most of the night and a subsequent stabbing pain in my neck where I was trying to sleep with my head squashed into the pillow and have hurt myself. Perhaps I can manage a psychotic episode too for a hat trick. *slightly hysterical giggle*

Have just had two days of extreme stress, (yes, right on top of that other thing I was stressed about), to do with a big chunk of my income. :(
My head tells me it's not insurmountable, but the child in me is panicking at what needs to be done and the worry of it all.
I hadn't felt stress like that for a couple of years. :(:(
The stress is still there, but I have all the info and just have to get on with it. Again, it's the dealing with it alone that blows it out of all proportion. It's all so wearying, too. Feel exhausted.

On the plus side, and after wondering and worrying about what the third horrible thing to happen would be, I was driving in the pouring rain yesterday and realised that one of my windscreen wipers had split. Oh good, I thought! That's the third thing! :D
There was a parking place right outside the car spares place and the very nice lad fitted a new one on for me there and then. Fancy me not knowing how to put a new wiper on! Pathetic! It still makes a bit of noise, so must need realigning or adjusting or something. Anyone know how to do that?
    Am still in pathetic mode.

mellymoo - if it's any consolation (!) I am v jealous of your NVQ. Was supposed to be doing the Nebosh diploma a couple of years ago but changes in job role meant it never happened (no way I could afford it myself with things as they are now). Am stuck at Cert. level with no chance of a decent job.

Oh you certainly can - there is plenty to go around :)

Sounds like a bit of a nightmare & multiple things at once don'y help as it leads to a build up.

If something is income related have you thought about speaking to someone? like CAB or some place similar.

  • Big hugs Pyxis and to everyone that needs one. We aren't all having the best start to the day, are we?

If you deal with some of your paperwork (or even make a short list breaking it down into small chunks), Pyxis I will tidy something. It is now 30 minutes later and all I have managed is to sit here with my hand over one eye. I am still in pj's...
