If something is income related have you thought about speaking to someone? like CAB or some place similar.
Sorry to be evasive, but it not that sort of problem. (Can't say more 'cos of privacy). It's just that dealing with it will involve a lot of effort and worry, and certain types of interaction with people that I'm not very good at. Plus I'm catastrophising as usual. Hate feeling like this. It's pathetic.
But you're right....coming the day after the other thing was too much, and being Sunday I couldn't deal with it straight away, I had to fester for two days, brewing stress.
I did drag myself out to a Zumba class yesterday though, to try and deflect some of the adrenalin, and will ditto today, too.(I just lurve spiders!)

If you deal with some of your paperwork (or even make a short list breaking it down into small chunks), Pyxis I will tidy something. It is now 30 minutes later and all I have managed is to sit here with my hand over one eye. I am still in pj's...
Ah yes, the pyjama default setting, know it well. As long as the workmen can get to the window, they won't care what the rest looks like. Did you say the landlord may be calling in? Isn't that what cupboards and blankets are for, shoving stuff out of the way? (Temporarily, of course - I'm not advocating another cupboard of doom,)
Pyxis, I agree with the small chunks bit - forget the bigger picture if you can. If it helps, I'll start a sweepstake for who manages to get something done first. Winner gets first choice of fort biscuits.
my windscreen wipers has been making a noise for months - didn't know they were adjustable, must get book out again. I look under the bonnet so rarely, I had to get instructions on how to open the bonnet.:oAll shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Well, I am feeling greeeeeeeeeeeeat today! Can breathe through both nostrils, a lot more awake than I normally feel in the morning.

It's obviously good for me to have an attack of projectile vomiting - which is what happened last night. _pale_:shocked: It was a fast day, so all I had was Covent Garden skinny soup, and obviously it's not a good idea to keep it from Thursday to Monday
It was 'interesting' - it started with tinnitus in the 'good' ear, then I became extremely dizzy. I staggered upstairs, couldn't lie down because the room was spinning, and then just managed to hook the rubbish bin to the bed in time (well, 90% accuracy aim :rotfl:) Poor Mr JM was the clean-up merchant. But as I say, I feel fine this morningEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

...suddenly I feel a lot more motivated! :rotfl:.
Have been trying to make an appointment re. mortgage this morning but the stupid online booking thing doesn't work. Everytime I try to submit it it tells me to enter a date of birth - have tried every format possible but it won't accept any of them for some reason. Looks like I'll have to call them to make an appointment.0 -
Oh dear, JM! On the bright side your digestion is working well and your body is fully able to expel the bad stuff with super-efficiency!
I am dressed and my is hair brushed! And somehow I have sat back down and picked up the laptop...

Ha ha - not sure who won that race for biscuits, tea for creative attempts at DOB, or WaS for getting dressed! Maybe a biscuit each? *feels like Pavlov except awarding biccies is really elsien's job*
tea, did you try American format YYDDMM or YYYYDDMM?
Oops sorry, I mean YYMMDD etc..........Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
The sofa avalanche is tidy! This consisted of a pile of clean clothes that have been falling on me for a week but somehow still seemed to have stayed there. Even the thought of biscuits is having no effect - i want to sleep :undecided
JM - Sounds a bit nasty but glad your ok this morning
TL - I hope you are able to get it sorted, nothing worse than things going wrong from the start of the day
WAS - Well done younothing wrong with sitting back down though.
What came first, the music or the misery?
Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?0 -
Well, have sent an e-mail which could be the answer to my second-stress problem, but I doubt it somehow. Worth a try though.
Have a very busy day today with other commitments, so won't be able to do do anything else about it until tomorrow, when hopefully, the first stress thing will be resolved.
Still, the busy day should calm me down a bit, I hope.
Umm, Elsien, the windscreen wipers aren't under the bonnet!:D

In other news builders are doing *something* involving much drilling and hammering in the hallway and have just managed to cut through a fire alarm wire so that is now screaming and they are running up and downstairs frantically. WaSp is out shortly to take the car for an MOT so I am here alone to deal with the window people. I am fine, I can do this!
