That's brilliant news WaS! I'm excited for you! :j

Having been born and brought up by the sea, it's one of my favourite places! It's such a calming place, and sea air is very good for you!

Midnight picnics on the beach sound a lot of fun! See if you can find any heart shaped pebbles! :D

Ooh yes! Heart shaped pebbles! And pebbles with holes all the way through! They're good for warding off bad things! They might be good for warding off the horrid voices! You hang the on strings around the house! :D
Oh, and sea-glass! You know, broken bits of glass that have been polished smooth by the sea!

Yes!! :j Pebbles with holes through, then you can thread them and hang them! Sea glass , how could I forget about that! So polished and smooth, looks great in bathrooms. You're making me want to go to the beach now! I love beach combing! :D I have a fairly biggish heart shaped stone in my hearth. :D

Well done to everyone who was able to vote this time round. I really hope the result is worth it.

This isn't a penguin but I am whiting it out as I am slightly paranoid and think it will reduce the chances of someone who knows me stumbling across it.

Penguined bit deleted after I couldn't hide it in the quote.

I'm thrilled for you whitewing, that's an amazing achievment.

*toes ground embarrassed with lump in throat*

I'm ashamed to report that after two months I gave up the lessons......

Because I'm too embarrassed to practice in my own home.

I live in a terrace where all the houses are one room wide, so the next room is the next house.'

Without practice, the lessons are a waste of the teacher's time and my money.

I've got to find a way of getting over the "doing stuff in public" thing.

Having said that, I've worked in my garden which is overlooked from all sides, glued spiky strips to the walls to prevent cats getting in and using the bark for litter, sprayed weedkiller on other people's Japanese Knotweed, even going to the extent of going to the next street, going down someone's side alley and spraying their weeds...

It took a lot of psyching myself up for it, but I did it.

I've got to find a way of becoming less inhibited. My ears and balance are fine now but I'm still a stranger to the gym and I want to sing and learn to drive.

All this whilst holding down a job.

However, all fades by comparison with the news that the building work is on and I've got to start packing up everything ( _pale_), put it into storage and move out for the builders.

I'm waiting for the builder to give me dates but it will probably be July. And August. And September. Probably October and maybe into November.

I've spent a couple of years following JoJo the Tightfisted's threads on the Old Style Board but now, looking around, it doesn't look as if I've done nearly enough.....
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

DUKE! How lovely to hear from you, and what gorgeously cute sloths! xxxx

WaS - can't can't can't wait for your holiday, so heaven knows what YOU are feeling like! xxxxxx Please send my enormous thanks (and, I suspect, the thanks of lots of others on this thread) to the lovely person who has provided the accommodation! What a really fab thought - I'd love to be a fly on the wall when your medical team hear what progress you are making :D xxx
