Stoodles, I really understand what you mean!
I am going through a similar experience, albeit with a physical problem. They seem determined to reclassify a physical condition I have, based on one test alone by a machine. This test, in my opinion , was flawed because I was going down with an infection at the time. Despite this, despite numerous discussions with the GP, despite the fact that they are ignoring holistic aspects, but just looking at this one (flawed) test, they keep using this label.

There is an overlap between my existing diagnosis and this new one. There is a grey area. My meds would not change. So why give me this label? Because the machine test registers on a computer and cannot be voided or erased from my record, despite the mitigating circumstances.

I am resisting the label, at least until I can repeat the test under conditions that I feel are fair, ie me in 'perfect' health, because it has far-reaching consequences, the least being my own self-esteem. Also because I feel no computer result should be prevented from being overridden by human discretion, especially as the computer doesn't take into account other factors in my life-style that are not consistent with the label, and because I feel there is a strong element of 'box-ticking' in order to comply with quotas and directives.

Been watching the VE Day service and march-past.

    Very moving.

My grandparents died when I was a young child, (not your fault, WaS!), so I was never able to talk to them about their experiences in either war. Shame. Again, parents, who experienced the second war, died when I was young, so no first-hand stories.
    A shame, really.

Sorry to hear so many people are not having a good day.

Hope it gets better for you in the hours, days, weeks.

I must not be well today. Cleaned out the fridge. OMG minging. I am embarrassed to admit this I cleaned out the drain hole and it was black  even found a small spider !!!!! I feel sick now :(

Defrosting the fridge freezer now. Wiped the fridge down on the inside. And washed all the drawers and shelves.

Wiped the outside down of the fridge freezer and the chest freezer as well. Look very nice and clean.

Shame about the rest of the house :(

    Right off to watch castle.

    Yours

    Calley

Well, you know Calley, a clean fridge is a healthy fridge! And to be fair, it is quite hard work, trying to wash large shelves and drawers, and then them dripping everywhere! It's not a job I like doing!

Also, I tell you, the next freezer I get will definitely, definitely be a frost-free one!

My parents phoned yesterday morning and said they were coming to visit. Cue frantic tidying of all the public areas of the house and my dad still managed to comment that its messy. Of course its messy. I'm a tasmanian devil in human form.

Also worried about my sister's sanity for many reasons. We're not even remotely close so I feel like I can't intervene as she's acting very irrationally (she hit my dad who is a frail 81 year old because they had a disagreement about politics) and she'd cut me off completely then I'd never be able to help. Its hard enough to get MH help for people who want it, let alone those who need it but can't or won't admit it.

In other news my lovely meds are giving me headaches now (replacing the woowoo). Slept until 8 then went back to sleep until DH woke me at 12.30. And now I'm thinking of a nap.

Pyxis and Calley - my fridge is dreadful. You can leave it at a temperature that is ok and the next day everything is warm (my house is a consistent temperature) so you turn it up and its ok then ice fills half of the thing.

I have a frost free freezer, but I miss defrosting it. It was one of the few household jobs I enjoyed. I liked snuggling the contents in to a box wrapped in a duvet, and I really enjoyed melting the ice with bowls of hot water and seeing big chunks of ice crash down.

Such a shame I don't feel the same about cleaning the oven.

Oh dear - I'm second guessing everything I write now, thinking that all you must be thinking "what is the woman blathering on about? Obviously a case of plague - how could anyone have missed it?"

I must admit, it is quite satisfying when large chunks of ice come off in your hand!
Doesn't make up for it being a pain, though! :D

I used to wonder if there was a business to be had. Would you pay to have your freezer defrosted?

Seems a perfectly normal post to me, Stoodles. Except the part that reminded me I need to clean my oven

Hmmm. Not sure I would. Oven cleaned, yes probably, because of the kneeling and bending and my dicky wrists.

But the freezer defrosts itself! And takes ages! And then it has to dry. And the remaining food needs to be sorted.

    So No, not the freezer!
