It was ok really. Not sure it was £90 worth of entertainment though :rotfl:
The trouble with me and DH is that we're both quite reclusive and just want to stay in and have dumbass dog cuddles, and watch tv on the sofa. We're just at that age where everyone is having babies and we're the odd ones out.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

He'd chew your train, swallow the ring, howl like a banshee through the hymns, roll on his back and expose his bits during the solemn exchange of vows, and then jump up and eat the Cake at the reception!
Would make some great photos, though! And the video would go viral! :rotfl:Georgiegirl256 wrote: »Just been looking on Amazon (DH got £130 worth of vouchers from work for some reason and said we could halve them!) and saw that deal you got WaS....well done on getting a bargain!
Isn't it amazing, when you have the money/vouchers there to spend you don't know what to buy! You don't just want to buy something for the sake of it, but you just want to spend them! :rotfl: I can't think of anything I want/need right now. :undecidedcodemonkey wrote: »everytime I tried to change the subject, they went back almost immediately to how being a parent changed their lives and makes everything else shallow and crap).

Well, I did think of that Pyxis, but that's something me and my Dad would have done as he loved birds and animals. Offers popped up on groupon etc all the time, but we just never got round to it?
DH is abit wary of birds! :rotfl:
I was lying in bed last night thinking of things, and I was thinking how I want to get fitter but cba going to the gym. So I thought about getting a fold up (then it can be easily stored away) exercise bike. I can exercise whilst watching my soaps!Result!! I don't know if it'd be one of those things that would get used once and then thrown in the shed though?

Sorry you had abit of a crap night code.
I hope they still involved you and your husband in conversations they had at some point though, and didn't just make it all about them and their families?
Do you see them often? If not then it might be time to cease contact.
Also, I think it's really rude of them to expect you to pay an equal split when you had nowhere near what they ate and drank. I think my DH would have been cheesed off at the lack of pudding too! He's a pudding guy and that's what he always looks forward too.0 -

The only, only thing I've ever found enjoyable was Zumba. I love the music and learning some moves, but remember it's not a dance class, so it doesn't matter if you don't do them exactly right.
I started off with Zumba Gold, as I was so unfit, and to start with, would get out of breath just doing the warm-up dances!
Now, I hardly get out of breath at all during the class!
I still do Gold, but have started doing some higher classes as well, to make me a bit more out of breath. They're not massively high, though, just a bit more challenging now!
Depending on what's on in your area, you may have to look at different Zumba classes, as every leader is a bit different in what music and style they choose.
It's the only exercise I've ever done that I really look forward to!
Most people only do one class a week, but I try to do four, or at least three, as I enjoy it, and I want to get fitter more quickly. Apart from some walking and housework, it's the only real exercise I get.
When I started, I'd just got over a long-standing knee injury, and the Quads muscle was wasted away on that side. After several weeks, it had strengthened right up and you could feel the muscle bulk again!
The music's great , it's cheap and it's huge fun! What's not to like!(I just lurve spiders!)

My original exercise bike that I had years ago ended up as a clothes horse! :rotfl: Then when I moved in with DH it ended up as a clothes horse for my work uniform before going in the shed before eventually being given away to DH's workmate for his wife!
You're a good advert for Zumba classes! It sounds fun, but I'm not really sure if it'd be my kinda thing? Might look into it though and check it out!
Apparently (according to a pedometer app) we walked about 21 miles in London! It seems a lot, but looking at the blisters on my feet, I'd say it's not far off! :rotfl:
Regarding puddings, I'm gonna say something that'll shock you all! I'm not really bothered about them....I'm much more of a savoury girl. I always get a starter, usually prawn cocktail!
The most energetic thing I'll be doing today is watching the London Marathon, I love watching it!0 -
Hope you don't mind me joining.
I do have mental health issues not sure what they are. But I know that I am not how I would like to be. And its causing massive problems in my life.
But determined to get it sorted. As I know that its not what I call "Normal" for me.
Whats got me today is that I got home last night and found a card from a courier company. As they have left it at a neighbours. I don't remember ordering anything. So have no idea what it is.
Someone suggested it could a cheque!!!
Neighbour did not answer door. But all I think now it is something bad. I know very silly but part of my issues. Also think the worse!!!
Yours

Hello Calleyw and welcome! Of course you can joi! And you don't have to have mental health issues to be on the thread!
Let's look at the courier card thing.
Is the name on the card definitely yours, and your address? If so, then it's something for you. If not, then it may be a mistake.
It could be something you'd ordered and forgotten about. It might not be something you've bought.....it could be an information pack you'd asked for, too big to go through the letterbox.
It could be a competition prize! Competitions can run for months, so you could have randomly entered one and forgotten all about it!
It could be something boring, but that needed a signature, like a new credit card or something.
The biggest problem is that your neighbours weren't in, so now you've got to sit and worry about it. :A
When this has happened to me, yes, I've worried about what it could be, but it's always been either something really boring, or something junk mailish, or an order I'd forgotten about, or a prize or gift!
Regarding the change in your mindset, have you had any major changes in your life in the past couple of years? Sometimes a series of events can alter the way you perceive things.
Just remember, the worriers on here aren't worriers, we're warriors!(I just lurve spiders!)
