    Random sticky sweets are acceptable!
Especially if one is a treacle toffee! Or a liquorice toffee! Yumyum!

  • You know, I have never tried treacle toffee? I should really do something about that.

Word of warning.......if you have a crown that is several years old, chew it on the other side! :rotfl:

Yes, that did happen to me once! Hahaha!
As it turned out, it was pretty much at the end of its lifespan. It was a gold one, so I recycled it into a pair of earrings I made at my silversmithing classes! :)

  • Ooooh, how clever of you! I don't have any crowns but I do have a couple of fillings. Mind you, I have a shattered back tooth that split into lots of little pieces still embedded in my gum 10 years ago. If it removed some of that I wouldn't complain! Going to the dentist is also on the to do list for next year.

Mmm I love treacle toffee! But like Pyxis says, don't eat it over a dodgy crown or filling! :p

I haven't been on this thread for very long at all, and I don't know the full ins and outs of everyone's situations etc, but from what I have read, I've got to agree that you are an inspiration WaS! I'm so glad you're doing all these things, and most importantly that you are having fun! :j

You're all so lovely, like a big family, I feel like abit of an intruder tbh :o You've all made me very feel welcome, and listened to me when I needed to get stuff off my chest, but you've all known each other for so long, and then I come barging in lol! Apologies for my long winded first post! :o

Nononononononono! Georgie! You're very welcome! We were all new once, too!

If you have time, I recommend you read through the original thread.

I'm going to make WaS blush, now!

Do you know, WaS's original username was Worried and Scared? Then later on, the sun started shining, so she changed it to Waves and Smiles! While things were getting better for her, she was helping all of us, and countless other lurkers, by being really honest and open about her troubles.

Dunno about us being your Golden Lights, WaS, I reckon you're ours! :)

GG, you are totally one of our slightly dysfunctional family! I haven't been here that long....I just don't shut up lol. I joined in a conversation about lovely old-fashioned chemists and haven't left (or shut up) since.
  • Georgie, I consider you my friend now. You are part of our team, as valuable as anyone here. You are stuck with us!

Ok, I am blushing, Pyxis! Thank you so much! I probably need to read the original thread myself, I would like to see how much has improved because I know it has (thanks to everyone here!). I am so glad to hear my honesty has helped people though, I have always been like this and my psychiatrists have told me it is what has saved me. I am so open that they know exactly how to treat me, I am very much a person who wears their heart on their sleeve. I don't know how to be any other way!

WaS, if you need someone in your pocket to Hoover up the sticky sweets, Gitdog will oblige. Not sure what he'd make of your birds of prey though.
I went with one of the people I support to a session -he had autism and when he volunteered to have the bird land on his arm I was both surprised and panic stricken and came very close to intervening . He stood stock still, and was so pleased with himself that he'd managed it. Also taught me not to make assumptions about what people could and couldn't manage.

We presume there will be photos?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
