Also old stone.
I probably look like a crazy hippy..
Me too! The older the better! It's the continuity that they represent, as well as 'wisdom', and solidity!
Stone, of course, is even older!
When I was a child, I had a tiny 'pet' stone!:rotfl: I might still have it somewhere!
I once knew a tree that I called my hugging tree. It wasn't very big, but it had two arms that sort of came out and you could get between them, so it was like the tree hugging you!!Oh WaS, what a wonderful post to log on to. I am so proud of us all!
I did have refresher driving lessons a few years ago. I know logically that I am a good driver (you peeps are right that I am better anyway because I am in control). It does affect my daily life - but I kind of don't mind - but it really affects DH as he is the one who has to do all the popping to the shops etc. I had decided that I was going to wait for driverless cars. My fear started with parking actually. I can't get my head around how to get the car into a perpendicular space. The point is that I don't need to get my head around it, I just need to do it.
.
So I let myself off the hook. If I don't feel like braving the traffic to do a parallel park on a busy street, so as to get free parking, I'll park in the pay carpark, or park further away and walk. If I'm making a hash out of ordinary parking, (mainly because the lines of my car are peculiar, and tell me I'm crooked when I'm not, and vice versa, plus the shape of my bonnet means I can't see the very front of my car, so I always stop too far from a wall, say), then I'll give up and leave it a bit crooked, saying 'sod it' to myself! (Providing I'm not impeding anyone else, of course!) I never had a problem with my previous car, but this one is very odd!
What I'm trying to say is, forgive yourself for not being a perfect parker. So many people aren't! When you're out and about, take a look at parked cars, and you'll see what I mean!Georgiegirl256 wrote: »
Sorry I haven't replyed to everyone individually, I still don't know how to do that multi quote thing!
If you look at the tool bar under each post, you'll see a little red and orange balloon icon. If you click on it , it will show a tick. You can click on up to three posts at a time. Then click on the Post Reply button, and all three posts will come up in your Reply to Thread box. You can then edit the quotes and write your own post as normal.
WaS, I was in tears, happy tears, at reading how you went out without a blanket! What an achievement! Am soooooo proud of you! And that will soooo help other people take the plunge, too! That's your legacy, you know! :A(I just lurve spiders!)

I have two pet stones, with little faces on them! They came from ebay with a little book all about them. Their names are Daisy Moo and Molly Moo and they are cousins. They like baths with bubbles and being sung to when they feel sad. Daisy's favourite food is ice cream and Molly's is doughnuts! You have to put them to bed by 8pm every night or otherwise they get grumpy! It must be true, the book I got with them says so!
I do hope your mum feels better over the weekend, Georgie, she must have felt very vulnerable. I hope that you can both spend time together over the holiday sharing happy memories even if only on the phone. Look after you too, and do something nice for yourself.
I hope the day isn't too stressful Melly, and I hope OH's pain isn't too bad today.
Big hugs code, keep cuddling Dumbass dog and have some more chocolate. You will work it off at the gym later next week!

I always wondered how to do it. I had a go and thought it had something to do with that balloon icon, so clicked it and then didn't know what to do after that! It'll be a lot easier now I know, as I read through replies and catch up, but then forget who said what!

I had chocolate for breakfast and am having loads of doggy cuddles with dumbass dog. He's such a cuddle monster. I'm overly emotional atm so everytime he looks at me with his big adoring eyes, I burst into tears.
I got my shock absorber through the post this morning so back to the gym next week. No excuses. Size 14 trousers - I'm coming for ya.
Thanks code

Today I planned to NVQ to get it out of the way to enjoy the rest of Easter. I have filed. I have re-organised. I have shuffled lots of bits of paper, and done various other completely essential NVQ planning tasks. I have even created an incredibly lovely spread sheet to keep track of my progress. No prizes for guessing what I have completely failed to do.:oAll shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Morning All,
DH has gone to work so I was up early to kiss him goodbye. Then I put washing in (hope I can get it on the line later), and tidied up. I even repotted the plant that littlewing bought home from school. This has been on my to do list for at least a fortnight.
I don't know exactly what littlewing and I will do today. Probably walk up to my family with their Easter Eggs.
I am back in bed at the moment though with some mild cold symptoms.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
