    Phew! Now onto me!

Be proud everyone(please?)! I got up at 8am and walked around the block with WaSp without a blanket! In the daylight! Granted I picked my day and time carefully because it is very quiet outside but I did it! I was very nervous but I kept my head up and didn't give in so I managed to stay out for 15 minutes exposed to the world where I could be seen! Then I got indoors and burst into tears but nevermind that. I am going to do it again soon!

Absolutely brilliant news WaS! Well done!!

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

I have had a lie in despite my good intentions to get up, go for a run then head into the garden.
I am putting the blame firmly on Gitdog who was attention seeking by rattling his bowl around the kitchen and boinging the baby gate till gone 2am. He's best ignored in that mood, but I do lie there wondering what we he's doing that he shouldn't be which isn't conducive to nodding off.
Hope everyone gets a good weekend -or as good as you can do given the circumstances Melly and anyone else who's struggling, posters and lurkers all.
Actually, can anyone good with words think of a better word than lurker?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I must admit, I've always hated the term 'lurker'. It has sinister or perverted undertones!
I prefer the terms 'observer' or 'viewer'.

Or, :D, 'hummingbirds', because they're hovering! :rotfl:

Or 'browsers', because they're 'just looking'!

Cheerleaders sounds quite friendly. I always find myself cheering along to posts even if I'm not posting.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Or Peeps (for people, but they are also a type of marshmallow sweets in the States).

Hmm, I considered peeps, but thought it might be a bit like peeping toms! :D

Yes, I don't really like it. Observer seems similar but coolly detached. Perhaps I read too many crime novels.

Actually, there are some types of hummingbirds called sunangels!

    What about sunangels?

This is an amethyst-throated sunangel hummingbird!
