You mean you don't share your throw? Bad melly and poor neglected Lars. (Apart from the weeing - little beggar.)

    They have.
    A round dog bed
    A memory foam dog bed
    A soft dog bed
Two soft blankets on the floor
    A chair

That's without the couch stolen throws and for Freya any clothes of mine she can snaffle.
  • Welcome, Georgie! So sorry to hear about the loss of your dear dad, you can always talk here and I for one would love to hear some of your happy memories of him if you would ever like to share.

    Don't work too hard, JM!

Everyone send the naughty pets to me! I will have the lot!

The good news-the electricians have been and the work is complete!
The bad news-the smoke detectors are being swapped for heat detectors tomorrow sometime, so another day of sitting on edge.

I am hoping to be free over Easter at least.

I'm sure it'll be fine over Easter - no-one's going to be willing to pay tradesmen bank holiday silly money unless it's an emergency,
And the good news about heat detectors is that once done you can burn your toast as much as you like. :)

  • Hahahahaha, toast without alarms? Unheard of! ! right now the smoke detector goes off everytime we make toast, or use the grill in general. They are very cheap and way too enthusiastic. I have never come across heat detectors before but they can't be any worse.

They're much better - we had them put in the kitchen at work because when the guys burned the toast for breakfast we used to have to do a full scale fire drill and evacuation. Which didn't go down well with anyone still in bed, as you can imagine.
Although the most embarrassing incident was when I called transco out because the kitchen smelled horribly of gas. After opening all doors and windows, freezing everyone and having the nice man with his detector searching for quite some time, I then discovered the pong was a bag of parsnips that someone had frozen and defrosted.

Is your poorliness mental or physical Indiekid? We still have horrible flu like lurgs going round in this part of the world.

It's a mix of lady issues and (still) medication side effects. Tempted to ask for something to stop me wanting to throw up. But that means 2 medications just for the side effect of one medication.

Since moving out, I've really missed having dogs. I visit my parents most weekends and usually get mobbed by the dogs. One of whom just paws me if I ignore her.:rotfl:She will also sit there and stare at me until I make a fuss of her. One just ignores me. But he's a grumpy old fart.

JM, meant to say I think I can guess what your day may have been about, and I hope you got a result.
