I am multitasking. I have an enormous project proposal to submit by 1pm tomorrow (and then ANOTHER deadline at 4pm tomorrow.) So I am on here.
*awaiting the oldestgnome South America Diet book*
*congratulating SWC*
*condoling with tea over poor cleaning practices*
*sending hugs to CM - and to anyone else who would like some*
And now I really AM going to go and do some work.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Well done SWC. That's great.
Tea - would definitely say something directly. What a pain.
Thanks Pyxis! Hope you are benefitting from your day of rest?

Wow JM tight deadlines! I got my inspiration from this thread I'm 5:2ing and eating primal (low carbing). Plus camping and overlanding lifestyle is pretty active.0 -

It's the only place I've ever been where they come in the day. I used to work in a different office on the same site (same business) and that was always out of office hours. Have no idea why we randomly get one during the day (and for most of the day!)
Unfortunately, subtlety doesn't seem to work on her. Before now she's started hoovering when I've been on a conference call (on loudspeaker).
Maybe she is doing jobs that the evening cleaners don't have time for?ie washing filing cabinets skirting boards ect. I would politely ask her not to hoover when you are on the phone though.I am surprised she did that as I have cleaned offices for years and always turned off the hoover if anyone was on the phone would have thought it common sense. Not sure why you were annoyed at her talking to people coming into the office hope you do not think cleaners are a lesser species and should not talk to their superior0 -
Recuperating after last night's travails.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Actually, I've just thought! Why not give them the wings frozen? That means it'll take them a bit longer to chomp through them, keeping them busy for longer!
I know some dogs like chomping ice cubes, so cats might like chomping frozen wings!(I just lurve spiders!)

No of course not, tbh am really quite annoyed by that. She is disruptive and has no sense of boundaries. When people are in my office completing medical assessments I don't expect anyone to come in and start harassing them, regardless of their job.
I've really appreciated the openness and honesty of this thread, I had no idea I'd be accused of being a snob. Eugh, am fuming now.0 -

Next time I'll try. They won't eat cat food out of the fridge but they might well eat frozen wings. Now mauve squeaker is asleep on my head like an odd hat, and pink whistley is sleepin on my left shoulder and upper arm.
I cannot get the tens off my face because it will disturb the cats.0 -
Oh Tea, I don't think Geminilady was accusing you of being cleanerist, I think she just wanted clarification, that's all. :A Also, she may have been on the receiving end of cleanerist behaviour in the past, and so was just looking out for a fellow-cleaner. :A

You did not state in your previous post that she was harassing people just speaking to them,if you are not happy with her there while you are working I would suggest you mention it to whoever is in charge of cleaning.0
